It's still there but the art style changed so it shows sometimes when he tilts his head up i think it became more on his lower jaw than his face like it used to be.

Chapter 12 is set in the future, years forward (hence why Gitae's hair is far longer) then chapter 13 onwards are flashbacks to a few months after the main story ended.
