.......Not sure bout that. They did say, taking a break to 'Re-organize the Series" for an 'Improved Version". To me, that's like, maybe when they did an overall review they didn't like where it was going, or negative feedback, gave them different ideas, and with 'tweaking' it'll be IMPROVED ~My thoughts ONLY://

...................I REALLY love this story, like Hideaki IS my future hubby. I just think the author takes the advantage of the 'chibi-uke-y' character of Ai, to an extreme. Its bad enough Ai is drawn childlike to begin with, but mixing in the adolescent veneer as well, is nuts.
