I get people not liking the story, especially bc of the rape (I haven’t read it yet but I know key plot points) but I do think people are overreacting. It’s just fiction at the end of the way. if a character does something immoral the author doesnt need to explain how bad it is neither in dialogue or notes!!! if a character kills someone for no reason and the storyline doesnt say anything about and the characters dont say anything about it that doesnt suddenly mean the author is okay with murder.
