Honestly it could go either way, I mean much of his attitude is if he doesn’t see the reason to put into the work he won’t do it. Like he sees this as helping his relationship so he’s very gung-ho about studying as hard as he can. He’s probably one of the “I’ll put In enough effort and willpower to get things done” well or at least that was his attitude when dealing with his heats.
