Although I watched the drama first but ofc this story isn't some ideal strawberry world story ofc. The pressure of being 'normal' a lot of people go through. There are numerous people living the dual life. No matter how much some of us might support a majority is shunned by society for not being 'straight' or normal. With all things, going on the ML is obviously overthinking things with if things will be the same. If he will be regretting and leading to more pain in the long run to the other person who he deeply love. There's no guarantee, and giving that both of them never dated anyone besides each other. This is one of the most realest perspective someone could've bring out. With so much that has no sureity in the future, someone would feel it's easier to follow the 'normal' and move on for both him and the other person too. But, the truest feelings and love will always come back and that's what happened.

It is realistic and that’s why many are moved, especially those who have experienced it. I personally haven’t but the part I cried over was how the MC gave forgiveness to the ML.
I feel that forgiveness is one of the most powerful gift. And seeing them in their elderly moments was where I cried. I do wish the ML died after though, cmon MC had to see him leave again. :(

Usually (from what I’ve read many times) these type of stories by mangakas are short and bittersweet ending. I prefer short, it’s nice and shows cultural differences in their communication, the societal dynamics, etc.
I do wish we got to see more of their lives as they aged but this was fine. I only wish the ML groveled a bit longer.
