I've read up to chapter 36.
Kang feels ashamed for his behavior, Yiyoung enjoyed it? And Doyun actually likes Kang, though he's flirty with Yiyoung because he recognizes that he's gay I suppose? IDK yet if Doyun suspects Yiyoung being with Kang.
His behavior isn't okay, and he does recognize that later. I think he even realizes his he shouldn't have been so nonchalant about a potential breakup. But he goes on a business trip, Doyun pretends to be drunk and calls Yiyoung whilst he's on the phone with Kang, so Yiyoung tells Kang he'll go help Doyun. I think Kang KNOWS Doyun is gay, hence why he's so worried. But he's stuck in traffic and can't do anything right now.
It's during this time that Yiyoung is like, "Wait...do you like Kang?" etc.
Co-sleeping really is the worst because kids roll ALL OVER and leave you with so little space T_T
Yesss. My niece kicked me in the jaw (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
One morning, my nieces awoke before me when I was watching them, and I wasn't ready to officially be awake yet, so I pretended to still be asleep while they watched TV and moved about like they do. "Ugh, she keeps putting her arm on me. Ugh, her legs are all over the place. Ugh, why is her arm on my face."
╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
- Yiyoung got carded because he's obviously younger. Ha Doyeon teases him for being so young.
- Yiyoung is fascinated by him because of who he is and the fact that he's been hit on; Kang's a hint of jealous.
- Kang and Yiyoung discuss once the latter sobers up enough. The misunderstanding is cleared up.
- Episode ends with Kang being unable to meet Yiyoung for their lunch date & Ha Doyeon driving up in his convertible after Yiyoung and Kang hang up.
I've read to 29.
I thought the people reading BL would be LGBTQ+ or allies, at least. Can someone explain this to me?
I'm autistic and gained confidence to come out as lesbian in a conservative state where I can literally be fired for it because of the existence of BL and GL, and I love the progress BL has had over the years regarding more consent. BL Korean webtoons feel a lot like that my home state.
But it seems there are more straight people reading this webcomic — and ones that think gay experiences invalidate hetero ones reading gay webcomics in general.
Well I know of just one comment to refer to, which you commented on (but I can’t now).
Please don’t feel hurt :’)
I wouldn’t call them homophobic, but there’s a lot of misunderstanding around the whole internet even between allies.
It’s simply a matter of communication and listening — but there are too many voices, so even a well-intending ally gets lost between who to trust and who not to.
Like, we see what a mess just one misunderstanding gets our characters into :v and this is the whole internet we’re talking about.
I wanted to comment there, and I’ll just DM you that comment to show you my support fren
Well, I don't think reading queer webcomics is a guarantee of anything, unfortunately. As a Black reader and writer I can't tell you how many times I've seen awful attitudes and comments from non-Black readers who claim to read and enjoy media from Black creators about us.
Also, people don't take comics seriously lol, treat it as an escape from the real world and are actively hostile to anyone making connections between the two. Even the simplest, most basic observations are at best "doing too much" or it looks like the incredible overreaction in that thread. (Also queer folx have their own prejudices against other kinds of queer folx. Me using "cishet" had them ranting about "erasing women's identities" which....huh??? LMAO)
It's wild out here!
Dude the fact that you're labeling people makes me so fucking angry. As if people with certain preferences shouldn't read certain things. I swear people like you create more segregation.
Let people read whatever the fuck they want. "Alies" or shit like that creates more barriers.
Why starting a whole topic about it? and what the fuck has to do with anything that youre autistic? Are you trying to start drama? Because fuck you if you are. Your comment is not even about the manga, so stop attention-whoring.
Reading the English translation after reading an Indonesian version via Google Lens and what I've learned of the language while doing that (the repetition, associating common words with what they mean, etc.) is so weird because I hit chapter 60 and forgot about all of this. T_T
You are all in for a WILD ride. The misunderstanding of why he left will be worked out soon. He has to go with his alliance to where that banquet was held to get his answers, then he comes back and confronts Luhak. The season will end on a major cliffhanger.
I won't be sharing where I read it ahead because that's how translators get in trouble. :/
Im trusting u papi i cant stand the misunderstanding for too long pls just say it pls
The misunderstanding isn't the cliffhanger. The cliffhanger is after something tragic happens. T_T
At this point idc if the cliffhanger ends with the duke or the king dying or getting maimed or getting kidnapped or suddenly they do the juiciest kinkiest honkydory tango wango and they end the season with the duke about to put it in okay pLEASE END THE MISUNDERSTANDING IM ABOUTA SET SOMEONES HOUSE ON FIRE PLEASE
Someone spoiled the misunderstanding and the cliffhanger in the comments if u wanna go look! Both have spoiler warning and its two diff posts
