yea the panels in the earlier chapters are foreshadowing the future, so it’s p confusing unless you really pay attention to details/dialogue.

I don't know why it's so difficult for me. I've read it like 3 times already. I was thinking there is something not right because of their uniform. It kept changing. I guess the high school one is more formal and in middle school they wear the track suit one.
Still if they are in middle school it means they are between 13 and 15 years, but they look older.

In the current Chapters (middle school) their relationship is getting better.
However, in the high school chapters Xixi is really hars with Jian Yi?
Did I miss something or it's yet to be explained?

It’s ok :) I’m guessing xi was probably upset at his sudden disappearance/sudden reappearance, and the fact that jian yi took it so lightly, while xi no doubt would have been worried sick. Check out chapter 181, reeeeallly showcases how much jian yi can affect him. And of course the phone call in 193.

If all 4 boys are the same age than they are in 3rd year. When He Tian goes to the detention board with Mo, it says Class: 3(7) for Mo. So 3rd year class 7.
