In my "opinion", If that alpha guy ends up with omega guy, then it's a good thing. when hearing the alpha's mom stories, it makes senses. It's no one's fault actually. It's just our emotion being played by this manga. Stirred away by the dramas. don't get me wrong, of course I want the omega and beta to be happy together. But seeing from this omega AU perspectives, they won't be happy at all. What if the omega ends up leaving the beta meanwhile they are already married? What if they already got children? Make the history repeats again? the beta guy will be hurt, the omega too, especially their kid(s). Would be better for the beta to search for another beta and moce on, life can be unexpected and unfair. But that's just how life is. Also this is just a manga, and I believe the author knows what's best for their characters, and knows what's on their mind. Since they are the author's characters I actually like the art styles, the story is quite intriguing since I like this kind of genre(drama etc) ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
