I don't know why people are loving the loan shark's (I forgot his name gomen desu) brother. He gives weird incest-y vibes, especially the part where he gropes his little brother. I mean it looks like he cares for the uke, but I think he may have a brother complex or something. I DUNNO it's just a yaoi manga, why am I analyzing things amiright

The author's original idea of DG being the top and Alex being the bottom looks interesting imo.

Even so, they did alter the drawing and characteristics of the characters to still fit in with the uke and seme stereotyping, so it seems like the story would still be rather cliche. Back to the actual plot, the notion that DG actually loves Ji-won hasn't really been conveyed. He hardly knows him, and the "Alex" who he has known, has sexually assaulted him, gotten angry and doesn't seem that egalitarian. As readers we can now understand Ji-won's behaviour and his perspective, but DG is out of the loop and understandably done. Hopefully there will be a fair few chapters spent on developing the characters, both reflecting and learning from the mistakes in their early relationship and developing better communication.

Yep and yep. Why there this idea that Ji-won as the "bottom" would have to be this meek, smaller man (like DG) is odd, so either pitch of the plot would still be rather cliche. Reversible/realistic couples in yaoi are rarer than unicorns, even if such would pave the way for less stereotypical plots, but apparently editors seem to want to reinforce the uke and seme thing going on the q&a.
Late night rants because I keep thinking of this manwha. WOOO BOY.
I'm so conflicted. I mean you could tell, at least in the beginning, they both liked each other. But even from the beginning, there was aspects in their relationship that weren't healthy. Sungho was becoming too infatuated with Dohyun and Dohyun not being able to express himself properly, among A LOT of other things.
I feel their relationship could have worked out, even after their high school 'break up', if Sungho DIDN'T FUCK IT UP. Now Sungho wishes he did things differently, but it's too late. Even if it looks like Dohyun is finally reciprocating, Dohyun obviously isn't in the right state of mind. He is seeing current Sungho as the teenager Sungho, the Sungho he was comfortable with, to cope with this situation.
As much as I would like them to be together, realistically their relationship will never be a normal, healthy relationship. The ideal ending would be if Sungho went to prison and they both get therapy because these boys need help.
If they stay together, tbh I will be disappointed. It's unrealistic and insulting to Dohyun's character. The best trait of Dohyun is his strong will imo. For the most part of the manwha, he was fighting Sungho. I don't think Dohyun will be genuinely happy basically being Sungho's prisoner his whole life.
But anyways that's just my 2 cents. Rant over. Sorry if some parts don't make sense because it's 2 am here lol. BYeee.
This couldn't be put into better words.
It really wont make sense if they end up together
