I just have to say.
The fucker who said “Have a pleasant 10,000 years.” I would like him to suffer the most. He actually mocked phos for being put in solitude and suffering for 10,000 years after she was put up as the scapegoat for all of their wrong doings. He got his peace with the gems after both parties have been at war for god knows how long. Even when he was the one who orchestrated the kidnapping and breaking of all the gems that phos wanted to restore. He was able to quell any animosity from the gems and get their cooperation in the end and turn them into lunarions. He turned phos into everyones enemy and manipulated her into becoming a villain/human. And to the gems who oh so readily took his side after being transferred to the moon, fuck them as well. It was so easy for them to forget about their hatred towards the lunarions once phos was out of the picture. Im almost convinced that none of them loved phos at all the same way they loved each other. At the most, the only type of care that they extended towards phos was the type of care that stemmed out of pity. Everyone was only able to get their happy ending once phos was subjected to 10,000 years of solitude and painful memories. Thats 10,000 years of phos being mentally broken down (even more than she was before the 10,000 years) over and over again, until her rage and pain had died down into nothingness so that once they met phos again in 10,000 years, she would have no choice but to cave in and let everything go. Because who the hell can hold onto their rage and desire for vengeance after being mentally beaten down into mush for 10,000 years straight? At that point phos would just want to stop feeling anything, hence the reason why she prayed for them in the end so that she could just stop feeling. Even if she chose to make them suffer as she did, that would only continue to feed into her suffering of feeling negative emotions so it was best for phos to just end it all.
Also, if they or anyone had just ASKED or BEGGED phos to sacrifice themself. Im sure that phos would have done so. There would have been no need to break and mold her into what she ultimately became in such a cruel and painful manner if they had just asked this of her. Everyone urged her to be useful, and phos had always wanted to be useful by fighting to protect others and save others. I have no doubt in my mind that they could have just begged phos to sacrifice herself and phos being the type of gem that she is, would have agreed to do such a thing. Hells phos wouldnt even sacrifice the snails to save the gems that she wanted to save in the first place, they knew that she still had a heart in her to save others despite the fact that her transformation into a monster was almost complete.
