It doesn't even make sense 'cause they don't even talk about what his disease is.

All we know is that he looks like he's lacking in iron and his mom is a bitch.

They don't even explain how the doctor powers work other than they just touch a patient and they are healed... sometimes? Like, there's a clear compatibility and skill level present, but we're 3 chapters in and there is 0 explanation for how it just works.

Unless they plan for this to be a 2+ volume series, I'm prepping myself for a lot of non-explaining and ending up with even more questions by the final chapter.

I agree, i can't seem to wrap my head around how this skin ship is supposed to help his psychological illness. Seems like he has trauma but the doc is only helping him physically...

I think I just got tired of people trying to pin the blame on Ousuke for "not knowing when to give up" when in reality if someone was leading another person by the nose like Shogo does it would be seen as being manipulative.

I think Ousuke has the responsibility here. I was in a relationship like that , chasing after someone knowing they weren’t giving me what I wanted. I knew I shouldn’t have walked away and it’s always bothered me that I didn’t. I didn’t love myself enough to leave.

OK, but was the person stringing you along saying that ya'll could have a purely physical relationship while knowing you were head over heels for them? Were they older than you by quite a few years and very aware of the hurt they were causing you by leading you by the nose??

I am 31 and cannot imagine doing the shit Shogo is doing to someone barely in their 20s. I've had people who were like Ousuke in my life and I always turned them down and never gave them any inkling that there was a possibility of us getting together.

Yes, Ousuke has a certain level of responsibility, but most of the blame falls on Shogo-- who is now experiencing feelings of jealousy over his own rules he set up for them to be "pretend lovers." He's not an adult, he is a man child who doesn't want to face his past and grow so he can finally be in a healthy, loving relationship.

In my case the person stringing me along was younger. If someone tells you they wont fall in love or they run hot and then cold, you need to take responsibility for yourself and take their word for it. Honestly,to think you can change them is a form of arrogance. No one is that special. You are only special to those who love you,but not to those who don. Of course in this manga he's going to change his mind. You can see the kiss scene jealousy followed by the realization of love coming a mile away. Its fun and fiction.

Then why are people trying to solely place the blame on Ousuke when this is supposed to be "fun and fiction"?

Am I not allowed to point out how dumb it is that a grown ass man probably my age is stringing someone significantly younger along just 'cause he has emotional baggage he refuses to unpack? Am I not allowed to voice that it isn't just Ousuke's fault when they are both adults and it takes two to tango??

I'm sorry for your experience. I went through something similar when I was a teen and the guy I thought I loved was an abusive piece of shit that made me think what we had was "love." But I'm smart enough to know that it wasn't my fault that someone was manipulating me with fake promises and "rules" for us to have an only physical relationship when he knew how vulnerable I was due to my past.

Shogo is literally doing that to Ousuke now. Stringing him along, letting them "fake date" so long as Ousuke followed the arbitrary rules Shogo set for their relationship. Yes, Ousuke has dating experience, but he's never fallen in love before, and now that he has he's realized that what he did to his past partners was fucked and is even making amends for it.

I just think it's fucked that people are jumping on Ousuke like it's his fault Shogo is stringing him along when the right thing to have done is for Shogo to not have slept with him in the first place.

But it's all fun and fiction and in the end Shogo is gonna regret what he's done to Ousuke and they'll end up together.

I have no issues with the manga itself, just with some of the braindead ass people in the comment section.

This is what I get for reading so many series at a time.

I start slowly losing interest in anything new I read unless it's from my fave mangaka or the art at least keeps me seated lol

There's a few plots like this that are just so predictable, and the only way I can enjoy them is if the characters are hot, it's my favorite artist or I can forgive the predictability lol

Same like I have to many mangas and I just skim through most of them cause I just can't get into it anymore

I take months long breaks from reading any mangas and then return. It doesn't make everything feel fresh, but the overuse of plot devices become less boring to my mind. Like eating a favorite food lol. Or I swap genres.

Wish I could do this, but the few series I like outside of bl are slow to update and majority of the shit I get from bl is all the same plot over and over again lol

I've literally just been going aaaaaaaaaaallllll the way back to the very beginning of my "Already Read" list and re-reading everything LOL

I hate to relate to that. The older stuff feels so much better some times. Hopefully something good gets released soon that feels refreshing.

Tbh there are a few really good ongoing ones, but they are either on hiatus or extremely slow to update lol

My patience just runs thin since I don't have much of a social life outside of work and I'm currently working through creative burnout/fatigue. Reading is pretty much my only pastime atm lol

But I do agree with the older works just hitting differently sometimes. Like, there's nothing like rereading a work that is just unashamedly YAOI by definition lol
