I dunno how many time i've been reading this manga and this scene is killing my abs :D :D :D
http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/kawaii_akuma/mr/v01/c006.5/1.html/pg-8/
it's been years since i read Hoshi no Yakata, now i know why those 3 (Sumiya, Sakurai and Hirofumi) protect each other more than they protect other people in that mansion. first i read Hoshi no Yakata, i believed Sumiya and Sakurai ever had feeling each other but i was wrong.
I read Hoshi no yukata in app and there is chapter 26. it's about seiya come to meet Sakurai and he came with his wife and child. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
i dunno why people hate the ending. i like the ending, Ao gets his love back. well, althought Kou doesnt love him 100% but at least he knows whom he has to choose. 9 years is not a short time. and i believe Kou chooses Ao not based on pity only. He loves Ao, he says that on the story (dont remember the chapter though).
but overall, i still want to punch Kou on his face! he gets my nerves! DAMN! if you confuse whom you love, dont sleep around, you damnit!
If you can call that a happy ending. To others its a dependent ending where he clings to an obsession like an addict refusing to give up drugs. Kou likes sleeping around. In the end he will probably continue to do it and Ao's wakeup call will probably be when Kou brings home a little gift known as stds.
In this manga, Ao got his happy ending. no matter what we said, the story won't change. in real life, there's people like Ao, whom chose to cling to what you called addiction (in this case, addiction to someone).
just so you know, my BF is that kind of person, i didn't sleep around but i played around enough to make other people called him coward and idiot. don't get the wrong idea, i'm not proud of what i did.
and about the little gift you mentioned, knowing Ao's character, perhaps he will take care of Kou the rest of his life.
Thats..not exactly a happy ending. Thats settling. Nobody grows, improves, changes, the cycle continues. Thats destructive. For me I see it as an open ending and they dont last.
when i saw Dante didn't have penis, i'm like.. Holyshit! Holyshit! Holyshit!
poor Orlando. Jeez! i'm angry for him. Dante made him like that but in the end.. OMG, i dunno what i have to say...
i found this story is more depressing than any S&M, tragedy and pshychology mangas i've ever read.
It's the reality of war. I heard that this was what they did to a lot of men in the war at Bosnia Herzegovina. I was still a child when the war broke, so I don't know much but I know this was true... it's scary just to think about it
It's been reported upon ( http://www.theguardian.com/society/2011/jul/17/the-rape-of-men) and I believe Amnesty International keeps records of reported torture and rape, although the taboo nature of the subject means that NGOs ignore it ( http://www.theguardian.com/global-development-professionals-network/2013/jun/25/dealing-with-male-rape).
With yaoi or any story really that involves rape that is between the two main characters I believe is actually a form of sex fantasy of the reader. I'm 100% that everyone who has read a story like that and enjoyed has fantasizes of themselevss being raped (or forceivly assaulted) or vice versa with their object of affection. Many people in real life play out such fantasies. But the truth of being forced to to go though that is scary and horrible. But the desire is there that's why there are such manga such as this. For thoses "dirty" desires.
Hi Ninja Fangirl. See, I'm not 100% convinced that being forcibly assaulted by a loved one (or, conversely, forcibly assaulting a loved one) is what every such stories' readers are fantasizing about at all. I'm sure it's true for *some* readers, but the id and libido don't operate by reason, and it's absurd to assume that responses are consistent and rational for every person. When a story appeals to the hidden aspects of people's minds, we're off in a whole different universe. It could be anything. It might be somebody, for example, who just lost a beloved pet and who feels bereft and despairing as a result; so the story hurts just enough that they experience solace in the fact that they are still capable of feeling emotional responses. Anyway, I'm not interested in making up scenarios about why people react in such an illogical fashion to fiction and other forms of art. They simply do. And it isn't my job (or any other person's job) to act like some sort of occult police, regulating what they are or aren't supposed to experience in their fantasy life. That's why it's fantasy.
"I'm 100% that everyone who has read a story like that and enjoyed has fantasizes of themselevss being raped (or forceivly assaulted) or vice versa with their object of affection"
Like, really, "100%" and "everyone"?? How would you even know?
Let me tell you right now : it's not "everyone".
Not everybody has the same way of thinking and feeling (thank heavens) so please refrain from speaking for eveyone.
I understand that everyone has there views and I apologize for forcing my assumptions on you. It's was very late (or early) at night and I might have not considered other possiblities as I should have.
Regarding that I do not with this to become a thread of such anger and hate as I've seen way too many threads become on here :( I believe the message has been put across and I wish to future readers to try and ignore my post as to help not progress such a topic which may be hurtful to others which I seem to have done. Honestly I would delete my post if I had the option.
Goodness. I knew it existed in wars but I didnt think the male victims of rape had such little support...
Yeah, i believe this to be true.
this is funny, sweet, sad on its own way. how deep the grandpa loves Misaki's grandpa, how the mangaka picture him young everytime he enjoys his time with Misaki, it's deep. but grandpa, please be dead soon, your unrequited love has been waiting you for so long. LOL
hahaha :) just exactly my thought o(≧∇≦o)
