Personally i love this isekai, it's much better than alot of the other isekai out there and i understand why this is called the godfather of isekai. Personally i like that characters can be flawed and arent perfect, they all have Their own problems and own mistakes, honestly i feel the characters here are alot more human than other isekai where Everyone is just perfect. I dont condone cheating cuz i think cheating is just a generally stupid thing to do, i personally dont hate the father as he knew he made a mistake and apologized for it, i dont like him of course but personally i just think you can't do much Else than apologize in that situation and hope you are lucky enough to be forgiven, still dont think a single flawed character should be enough to drop a manga but again just my opinion, and for Those that just purely hate the guy ive got good news for you, spoilers btw... he dies so yeah. I read this one post on the wiki that i mostly Agreed with, it Said "he was a good father but he isnt a good person" and thats mostly what kinda characters i personally enjoy are, characters that arent evil but just arent good people, just real people. Also it isnt really shown in the manga but he was kept on a short leash after that whole thing went down so dont think he got off scott free in the beginning aha, also in case you think he slept around while looking for his wife he didnt, he abstained from doing it with anyone just to clear that one up. I know some stuff that goes down further in and trust me if you can't handle some drama you probably shouldnt be here. Again personally i just like this isekai alot because the characters feel alot more human and flawed and the plot and character development is also funky. Just want to apologize if Anyone takes this the wrong way as i find it hard to write my thoughts down sometimes ahaha. If i make 0 sense ill just blame it on my aspergers and sleeping pills Lmao. So yeah if you are more emotionally sensitive to get super mad over a single character in a manga this probably isnt for you, if you can read it while still being a 3rd party then good for you
A good character is one that stir up your feelings while reading, be it good feelings, bad feelings or even conflicted emotions.

People throwing hate to characters that were written with the intent to reproduce that very emotion is just proof that the writing is working as it should.

I find it funny how sometimes when I want to get into reading a new book and find out there is hate for some characters in the comments giving bad ratings to the book, more often than not I get surprised to see it's actually a good book and the haters are just reacting the way the author intended.

They see just the thing they hate, but are kind of oblivious of the fact that most probably it was made that way to cause that reaction.
