Ik the king has a traumatic past and he’s not gonna suddenly change just bcuz the Queen changed or the daughter is changing. The only thing I wanna say is, just bcuz you have trauma doesn’t mean you can hurt people around you. It doesn’t excuse anything. What he needs is professional help, a support group cuz as far as I can tell, I don’t think anybody knows what happened to him in the past and it’s even weirder how our fl doesn’t know even though she knows stuff about this world. Don’t get mad at the mirror for mentioning divorce, he’s just saying his piece as a friend. If we overlook the supernatural shit for a bit and look at the situation objectively, they should’ve gotten a divorced a long time ago. I’m not sure if I’m making any sense but let’s just wait for the story to progress. As long as they all heal from their own traumas, things will be good.
I think you should learn more about trauma, professional help doesn't always heal you and yes it excuses his behavior. That reaction is normal from someone with past trauma he didn't do it intentionally and he also felt bad about it .
Moreover I believe you didn't mean it this way but your opinion can be really offensive to people that went through something similar .
To put it better people should start healing little by little before going into a relationship, in this story he was forced to marry her before healing so no it's absolutely not his fault and his actions are realistic.
I never blamed him though as someone with the same trauma as him, I was just simply saying although we have traumas it still doesn’t excuse our behaviors. Hurting people intentionally or unintentionally, what matters is we take responsibility for our actions. I understand professional help sometimes doesn’t help since there are many things wrong with the psychological world but it’s better than sitting and doing nothing while you wallow in your sadness and trauma.
