YO is bewildered to find JH's hands shaking and breathing ragged, the utter lack of repose a deviation from his usual demeanor.
JH suddenly releases YO from his hold and draws back, belatedly realizing his drenched form soaking YO, for which he apologizes. JH falls back into shock and their roles reverse as it's YO now who eyes him with concern, his mind having difficulty reconciling with JH's uncharacteristic behavior.
JH suggests they swing by the hospital first, to which YO initially objects, insisting that he's okay, but the look on JH's face, which YO may as well mistake for JH's feelings for him, dissolves his resistance.
YO takes JH's hand as he acquiesces to his request, if only to mollify his obvious distress.

Having regained his composure now that YO's been looked at, JH brings him over to his place for their much-needed shower and a change of clothes.
Despite YO's insistence on his injury being minor, JH advises him not to make light of his condition.
As JH leads him to the shower, YO espies a familiar screenplay ("Six Moons", for which he won Best New Actor) on JH's coffee table, halting him in his steps. He moves along when JH calls out for him.

A freshly showered JH appears the moment YO steps out of the bathroom, offering to dry his hair. YO declines his help, but JH persists by pointing out YO's arm, now with limited mobility. YO begrudgingly relents.
Thanks to his semi-valid excuse, JH gets to run his hands through YO's hair for the first time in eternity. A familiar touch, YO notes as he looks at himself in the mirror. It dawns on him that they have reverted to their normal selves, leading YO to question his motive for accepting JH's invitation. The purpose was to put JH's mind at ease, but he fears he may have made a mistake.
Annoyed at the situation he finds himself in, YO thanks JH for the help and offers to take leave. JH puts up a protest, saying YO only has to wait for a bit more to change back into his clothes, after which JH will drive him home. YO rebels at the idea, but JH refuses to back down, unwilling to lose what little time he has with YO.
Needing to put JH back in his place, YO gives voice to his resentments.
Despite getting swayed by JH anew, YO lets him know he hasn't changed his mind on where he thinks their 2-year relationship belongs: in the past.
He says nothing upsets him more than JH incessantly barging into his life...appearing at the most opportune of time, wearing a helpless expression under the assault of rain, chipping away at his resolve when he's doing his damnedest to move forward.
He starts to break down as he criticizes JH for manipulating his heart (or messing with his head), trapping him in his own feelings from which he's unable to break free.
He says he hates how JH felt the need to constantly dismiss his feelings only for him to push for more the moment YO steps on the brakes.
YO has his hand up in front of him, as if to shield himself from JH, who looks at him helplessly, paralyzed by guilt.
"Why must you always haunt me so?" YO asks in frustration.
Hurt slices through JH as he witnesses YO's vulnerability. He closes the distance and wraps YO in his arms.
Crushed, he apologizes for his missteps, for using YO as a pawn, for disregarding YO's feelings then forcing his own, for even inconveniencing YO with his overdue apologies.
He tightens the embrace when he feels YO reciprocating.
JH knows he's not worthy, but he asks for another chance to show that he DOES like YO despite his initial denial.
"How can I make you see?"
Feeling the need to hear it again, he tells JH to repeat the words he's always pined for, ached for, begged for...
"I like you, Seo Yeonoh. I like you more than you'll ever realize," JH declares, hoping YO can hear the sincerity in his voice.

A few weeks later find YO wrapping up a shoot at some scenic beach. He declines to head back with the crew, wanting to take a stroll along the shore.
Ever the stalker, JH manifests behind him, subtly hinting at his disapproval of YO going back to work less than a month after the accident.
YO (and I can't fucking believe I have to repeat this for the nth time) maintains that he's okay, but JH continues his nagging, claiming he's worried.
The beach being his happy place, YO says he hardly feels he's at work, expressing delight at the view before him: a beach awash in pink, darker on the horizon where the sun is setting, forecasting the good weather the following day will bring.
Breathtaking may the view be, JH is more arrested by the sight of YO, prompting him to ask for a kiss.
YO doesn't like the idea, worried they will be seen. He asks YO to turn his way then places a chaste kiss on his cheek, catching him off guard.
YO, flustered, falls behind as JH walks on. He sobers up by expressing incredulity at JH's excuses should they find the need to explain (the kiss).
JH suggests they visit the beach again and in their own private time, where YO doesn't have to worry about catching people's eyes. YO huffs as he trails behind, hinting how JH may not have the time.
JH stops to let him catch up. As it will be spent with YO, JH says he can and will make time.

...it's sad how only the watch would give JH the time of day now. A year ago, YO would do so happily, eagerly. :(
Final chapter drops in <13 hours! I'm scared! But excited to see how JH will break YO's last line of defense...or maybe he has?

YO wakes up in his own bed the next morning. Alone. Probably with a hangover, if the way he scrunches his face is anything to by.
Outside, it's pouring.
He steps into the kitchen to sip some water and finds the bouquet on the dining table, reminding him of JH collecting his drunken ass off the street, a dream (he believes -_-) he's just woke up from.
He grabs the flowers and regards it. He doesn't know who they're from as he blacked out before he got the chance to check, and admits to only taking it as it resembles the one he received (from JH) some time ago. At that, YO dumps the flowers back onto the table, and chastises himself for his yet again pathetic behavior.

The downpour hasn't let up as YO drives himself to work. On the phone is his apologetic manager, who is currently under the weather. YO allays his guilt by stating he only has one appointment for the day anyway. He advises his manager to get some rest.
A loud noise disrupts their conversation, alarming them both. YO sees the imminent disaster through the windshield, swerves to the right, then steps on the brake. More loud noises follow.

In his new office, JH watches a news update on the Chairman of Haekang, his grandfather. The prosecutors will now proceed with the arrest warrant as testimonies have proven him guilty, guaranteeing his imprisonment.
The news move on to a 5-car pile-up by the mouth of a tunnel. Among the details of the accident springs YO's name, which has JH jumping out of his chair.
Tension spreads all over his body, his face a mask of alarm. He's frozen where he stands, but his secretary coming in snaps him out from his shock, and like a bat out of hell, JH leaves his office, leaving behind an inconvenienced secretary and what must have been an important appointment.

Heavy traffic impedes JH's progress. Frustration has him hunched against the steering wheel, his hands visibly shaking from the dread, worry, and paranoia that's been keeping him company.
With the trial over, he fears his vindictive grandfather may have orchestrated the incident in retaliation. White-knuckling the steering wheel, JH repents for involving YO in his quest for retribution.

What little progress he's made turns into another obstacle as JH is greeted with a closed road. He jumps out of his car and crosses over, uncaring of the rain and the guard yelling after him.
JH reaches the accident scene, his shirt drenched, and hair disheleved. He twists his neck left and right as he frantically calls out for YO. Relief is found as JH finally spots him standing a few paces away.

YO is on the phone, reporting his condition. He cuts the phone call short when his eyes land on an approaching JH.
JH cups his jaw as he asks YO if he's okay, and without waiting for an answer, proceeds to assess YO's condition, searching him all over for injuries. YO tells him to calm down and states the obvious: he's not hurt badly.
He asks what brought JH over, who responds by forcefully enveloping YO in his arms. The umbrella drops from YO's hands, subjecting him to the pelting rain.
Despite his fears ebbing away, JH's hands are still shaking as he cradles the back of YO's head, the other on YO's back. He expresses relief at having found YO safe. Having spent the whole drive with dark thoughts circling in his head, JH says he doesn't know how he managed to get to YO with the mental state he was in. YO is surprised at the admission, but doesn't say anything. He keeps his arms pinned to his sides and just lets JH hold him. His eyes start to soften as JH continues to ramble on, saying he knows he doesn't have the right to stand before YO, but this time, JH professes he no longer has the resolve to stay away*.

*I made a selfish decision by not writing "to let YO go" because I felt like he's done that already in chapter 78, and the past six months probably saw JH schooling himself in staying away, so...yeah. Hehehe. Sorry.

• What about JH's father? Wasn't he implicated? :( I thought he was also doing some shit on the side...
• Le sigh. I kind of wanted to see JH laying YO on the bed. He's always doing it off-screen. If you're observant enough, you'd know that this isn't the first time he's done so.

This is what I said months ago in the comments to Jaehyuk apologists, that Jaehyuk didn't just use Yeon Oh to get the USB and reject Yeon Oh. He raped him and put Yeon Oh's life in danger by getting him involved and is possibly going to get him killed by his grandfather but it fell on deaf ears. This is why I can't support all women because some women are stupid and/or crazy. I feel disappointed and disgusted by my gender every time I see rape and abuse apologist comments made by women. It's not surprising men think they can do shit like this in real life and get away with it when women are like this. Men do get away with it.
I get what you’re trying to say, but I’d be a little more careful with how you’re phrasing it… it’s starting to sound a little bit like victim-blaming and internalized misogyny.
Just my personal opinion, but “fiction” and “fantasy” are separate from real life. A woman (or man) might like reading abt a rape fantasy - bc they can consume it from a distance where they’re safe and detached from the actual abuse. And enjoying something like that doesn’t mean that they’d actually want someone to rape them.
I also don’t think it’s fair to say that forms of entertainment (like stories, tv, video games, etc) are responsible for teaching society how to behave. Shooting guns in video games does not give someone permission to shoot ppl in real life, rape in a story does not give men permission to attack women, a tv show abt someone cooking meth is not permission for the audience to start selling drugs… do you see my point? Anyway, I’m not trying to start an argument. I truly do understand where you’re coming from. Sexual assault against marginalized ppl is a very real issue - one that needs to be addressed. I just think connecting it to things like comics or shows (things that are fiction) is an unhelpful way to steer the conversation as it distracts from the actual issue.
