he got kaede a ring years (or chapters lol) back BUT it was the wrong size and only fit kaede’s pinky finger! kaede found it cute and kept it though, but i guess the new ring in the correct size + the fact that this time yoshitaka has the same one makes it even more official :’) the pinky ring was probably just a romantic relationship gift but this one is p much giving engagement/marriage lol
