This is why i hate open ending. I'd rather have the story sad rather than not knowing what will happen to them. Like wdym, we don't know if they will stay together, if they did, will they have children? Will they even last...? Will they even graduate in the uni?? So many unanswered questions.

Same here. That’s why my all-time favorite yaoi will always be Life Senjou no Bokura.
Sure, it’s kind of sweet reading stories like these, but so much more can still happen when you’re a young couple.
For me, if they don’t end up together until they’re old, dead, or transcending time/other universes for their loved one, I just don’t see it as ‘love.’
Or maybe I’m just a hopeless romantic.

I don't know that bl yet, but i will try to find that.
And yess! That's why i like authors who does sequel, like even if it's just a glimpse, it's still satisfying to see how the main characters of the previous story are doing... Like how we expect them to be when they become parents, what type of friend they are, how does other people view them, or another story is folding with them as a side character.
One of the example is "bj alex", the story itself is not the best but, the fact that we can see how they are doing in "jinx" is kind of relieving. Same in "see you in my 19th life", i love how we see the MCs in "a good day to be a dog". Like who would've thought that they are doing well, and are still together...
The art looks ass....
