I am really interested in how this story will play for the emperor to choose who will succeed him. 1 son who looks like him and very reminiscent on how he started before becoming the emperor and is somehow incompetent, and the other 1 who looks like his father (the late emperor) who criticize him a lot but still is competent, smart, and very much crown prince worthy. I wonder who he will really lean and chooses.
I think the first son reminds him of everything that he hates about himself and doesn't want to recall (plus said son is contented to a family he doesn't like, so giving that son power is the same as giving that family power), whereas he can pretend that his better parts are in his second (emphasis on pretend)
