I just don't understand why nice story tend to love having so much low EQ characters, especially as female lead.

Rian is so annoying at first, but his character developed and he apologize for his wrongdoing.

However, the female lead just get away without apologies, just by showing her remembering her dark past and make some regret face. And the author just push everything to the male lead to endure so much lies for the FL sake.

I really hope it's my misunderstanding that Amy is a romantic candidate for the ML if there's any in this story. She's just too disappointing. Or at least have her sincerely realize and apologize eventually. Don't just mix up her sympathy for emphathy like that to force romantic relationship between them, it's cringe.
