I fucking love this. I actually really enjoyed it. Even though we have seen these types of characters before, the mangaka does an excellent in making the characters feel unique and different. Spoilers Ahead for anyone reading.

For example, in Chapter five, after Ruri runs off, his internal monologue suggests that he is aware of the fact that Takashina just wants to help. I love that the mangaka makes his way of thinking so humanistic. Ruri was rationalizing with himself, considering every possible solution. He wasn't just jumping to some conclusion and then a big misunderstanding comes up. He is very much aware of the situation. He isn't the oblivious Uke that I thought he would end up being. I was pleasantly surprised with how observant he was with people, even though he goes out of his way to avoid people because of his stutter. He's not unaware or an idiot, he's just very closed off because like the theme of manga goes "he isn't unable to speak because he is nervous, he is nervous because he is unable to speak." It was such a powerful message.

I also enjoyed how the mangaka incorporates this type of ignorance, which makes it even more realistic. In the same chapter, Takashina makes a comment about working toward trying to fix Ruri's speech impediment. I thought this gave it a realistic touch. I think as "normal" people, we try to fix the things wrong with people that aren't like the typical human being. We want them to be more like us, so they don't have to deal with it. I am not saying Takashina was the same. I think that he wanted Ruri to be able to have everything without his speech impediment impeding him. He did it out of care, but his comments was, none the less, an ignorant one. The mangaka even goes a step further to explain why what he said was wrong and gave an analogy so the reader, like Takashina, understands why his comment was ignorant. I think it makes us stronger people when we can admit that we're being ignorant and work to learn and correct our ignorance, exactly as Takashina did. It's very mature in the writing as well as the execution.

I thought the pacing was pretty good, too. There's a lot of back and forth because, of course, Ruri's going to be hesitant. Look at it from his perspective, he's been bullied for his speech impediment, isolated, has low self esteem, always blaming himself for why people don't stick around. He eventually got too self conscious to try and form relationships with people, which is completely empathetic. That doesn't mean he doesn't want relationships with others, he's just scared to form them. He doesn't want to be ridiculed for something he can't even control.

Now, onto the relationship between the two. I actually thought their relationship was very sweet, very accepting, and realistic too. Takashina accepts everything about Ruri, even if he admits that his speech impediment isn't always easy to deal with. You understand why they like each other. You feel that. Ruri appreciates, for the first time, being accepted for everything he is. Ruri brings out this kinder, sweeter nature in Takashina. He respects everything that Ruri's had to deal with, and finds it endearing. The build up was actually pretty good. The relationship is healthy, without being too sweet. I hate cutesy couples, but I like couples that are cute, with a slight bit of angst, it makes the relationship more relatable and makes the reader want to to root for them.

Overall, I thought this was very well written, and I haven't even talked about the art. I swooned so much over it. Lovely facial expressions. So on point. This is my aesthetic. The story beautifully executed, characters identifiable. I am very impressed with this this mangaka's capability, and apparently, this is her first work. I will be looking out to see what else she can do. Please impress me more!

A+ comment ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~ I agree with everything you said! I also like how the girl who was mean to him in the beginning ended up as an ally. Such a wholesome manga!

Just keep reading. This manga is too good to stop midway. It's true that it has some moments which make your heart shatter, but, oh, boy...it's such a nice work.

[And yeah, there are happy moments too ;)]

This unexpectedly surprised me. It felt realistic, down to execution and narrative. The thought processes of both leads were understandable and relatable. The pacing is very good as well. It’s slower and focuses more on the courting and falling in love parts. I just love the chemistry between these two. The way they go back and forth is so cute and adorable. I just love the mangaka’s ability to portray these two as real people. I love how they’re not both stereotype seme-uke pairing. The comedy is very well done and comedically timed. I’m not one to laugh out loud at a manga unless it’s REALLY funny, but this one had me laughing so much. For a four-chapter manga, I am very impressed of what the mangaka can do with a simple slice of life romance. The characters feel real, the story is engaging. I was never confused or bored. I really recommend this one.

There’s something about this that I really liked. It was calming, sweet and tranquil to pass the time. Sure, it’s pretty simple in plot and the characters aren’t the most unique, but with what the plot is, it’s a cliché that sits well with me. It’s cute and I’m a sucker for blushing so this whole thing was good for me. Another thing, some were saying that the chemistry and pacing was off. I have no idea what they’re talking about. If there’s one thing this manga manages to get right is the chemistry between our two main leads. The thing that makes this a good read is the pacing. It’s gradual, which makes the confession and their reconciliation so rewarding. I loved this, and I’ll probably come back to read it again and again. I recommend it to anyone on the fence about reading it.

There are so many things I like about this. First of all, I love how this is a yaoi cliche that breaks yaoi cliches. Sure, we've seen the delinquent story line where they dote on the person because they feel an obligation to them, but this one does it so differently. It felt so refreshing to read for so many reasons. First, Yuzuru, who is taller and manlier being the uke. I love that. I always love taller ukes and this just hit the spot. I also like how Satomi wasn't a fucking asshole. This yaoi could have went down that road, but he was perfect for Yuzuru. He wanted what was best for him. He wanted to show him love. The manga is able to give a lot of character development, especially for Yuzuru. We learn of his past experience and why he thinks the way he does. Because of what he's been through, his mother abandoning him and his family basically turning their backs on him and his father, it has made him think that he's not good enough for anyone. It has made him believe that he cannot be loved, which is not true because even Satomi says there are many people that love him. It also makes sense why he's so tough. He trained himself so he wouldn't ever have to experience that fear again. As someone who is studying psychology, it makes so much sense. I can also empathize with the feeling insecure and having low self esteem so I felt a connection with the character.

As far as character development, we go from Yuzuru, being unable to say what he wants, to coming out directly and saying that Satomi is his lover. That's huge, especially knowing his character. he's the type that feels if he says too much or does anything under his own volition, he'll be hated and rejected. This is shown when he tried to muffle his screams when he and Satomi are having sex. He feels that he's not cute or sexy, so he doesn't want to "turn off" Satomi. There's just a lot of character depth here. I love it. Plus, Yuzuru is so cute. Everytime he blushed, I swear I nose bled.

Also, I also like the dream sequence chapter. It was interesting because in your dreams, you are able to do things that might not be socially acceptable in society, and even in Satomi's dream, he doesn't want to force Yuzuru, even if it's only a dream. He wants him to want it. That's hot. It addresses non-con respectfully and in a subtle way. I appreciate that. I also just love how Satomi could be a bully, but he was very gentle about it. He knew when to not go over board. Some might say it moves too quickly, but I would argue that it doesn't. Sure, they start dating soon on, but they go through hurtles as lovers and it's a slow process that Yuzuru takes to open up and say what he wants. I think it was paced well in that regard. As much as I love slow burn, sometimes it's refreshing to read something like this that explores the insecurities of the main characters. It's just lovely. I think any yaoi lover should read this, just because of how different it is and how it doesn't meet expectations. It exceeds them.

I really liked this. At first I was skeptical, but the plot felt somehow unique. It intrigued me to know more. I also like how they try to figure out what a master/slave relationship would be. They didn't go fast into this process. I also think this is nicely paced as well as having good characters. They feel different as well. Overall, this is a very nice story and it seems this is the first work by this mangaka. I am excited to see what else comes from them.

For a three chapter manga, the mangaka is able to convey beautifully constructed, well paced, narrative. The characters are easily understandable and relatable as well. They are also very likable. It's cute, fluffy, and just a lovely short story. Oh, and don't get me started on the art. This art style is my aesthetic. I could look at it all day. The facial expressions are on point and you feel every emotion. Just fucking lovely.

I really hope someone else picks this up. It's good!

It was cute, the characters are relatable. The art if fucking gorgeous. The facial expressions on point. I loved the plot, the characters are cute together. I also really like how it can be smutty without it being pointlessly smutty. It was good for a four chapter manga and the one shot was good too!
