So there was a bunch of comments hating on this and I'm sitting there, in my head, like okay, "Should I read this?" I was hesitant a little because it was quite a few comments that seemed to be hating this. Sos I finally got to it and I have to say that it's cute. Is it ground breaking? No. But, if you're looking for something light and quick it's nice. I guess it goes to show you have to try things for yourself because sometimes you might disagree with people.
I tried my best with the translation and typesetting. I knew people were like this, but after doing the hard work you really feel it when people are unappreciative to the time it takes to do this. I know the story isn't the best, but I'm kind of shocked to see the score this low. I guess people are just assholes. I don't mean to be like that, it's just upsetting because I felt bad for the author whose work hadn't been translated in over ten years. To those who enjoyed the story and wrote something less harsh, thank you. I tried my best~
If the notice I posted doesn't go up right away. I just finished translating and typesetting the last chapter for Shiawase ni Narunosa! I found out there was a spin-off on Oshima that was published all the way back in 2011 that has never been scantalated! Thankfully, someone kindly uploaded RAW scans recently and I spent a lot of time translating and typesetting. I couldn’t figure out how to upload on Mangago. If someone can, please upload the files here on Mangago.
I will post the link in the comments. Enjoy~
Usually I don't complain too much, but I was so loving this until that extra. I usually skip the ones that have sad or tragic endings, but when chapter four finished and I went on to the next chapter I was begging that it wouldn't be a separate story, and of course was. Whatever, I thought since it wasn't too long, but I was confused and it didn't really make coherent sense to me, Like the author was trying so hard to make this as tragic as possible so it would come out as this really sad and emotional piece that we can connect to. I also thought, this author isn't really known for this type of tone in her writing, an it clearly shows. The pacing was confusing and in the end it wasn't enough for me to empathize. I just didn't like it. I would've much preferred if chapter five was about the main couple, like maybe going on first date? Adjusting to be a couple? I don't know who pushed this extra story thing, but it does take away from the story because it is such a huge tonal shift. I really hate when authors do that shit. I've seen other authors try and make their stories as sad and tragic, but there is a right way to write angst that doesn't involve forcing such a tragic 30 page one shot. It just felt like a waste because it honestly leaves no impact on me. Like when I return to this, I'll never go to that chapter again and I'll have forgotten about it pretty quickly. It wasn't written in a way that made me emotionally invested. I understand that people are scoring lower because of the extra story, but don't do that it take away from the good main story. So, I'll rate five stars. The main story is so cute and I love how the author is able to develop strong amusable character in such a shot length manga. I really liked the main story and I really think whoever rated lower just because of a chapter they didn't like is kind of ridiculous. If you liked the main story, and chapter five didn't exist, I am willing to bet that the rating would be higher for sure. Anyway, yeah that disappointed me, but the extra was cute enough to rinse that bad taste out of my mouth from chapter five.
First Renchin! finally gets updated and now Ifind out this has another volume. I'm blessed. Thank you translators!
