My parents, who are 70, are boomers. If the professor is 60+ years old, he better drop his skincare routine.
This drags on for 130+ chapters. We briefly detour back to the OG main couple around chapter 80. Then return to the love triangle in which nothing happens. Norman doesn’t understand the other two are into him and keeps having sex with both of them. I skimmed but the guy Minsoo had a thing for in HS comes back and they have a toxic thing going(?). Currently the raws are doing flashbacks where we see why sungtaek is obsessed with Norman (they met as kids and Norman was nice to him idk). Oh and this flashback is happening while Norman and Sungtaek are in burning building after someone tried to kill Norman.
At this point I’m just reading for the closure.
Yep. Still makes me cry re-reading it. Gotta do it at least once a year though.
Sometimes I just want the MCs to have friends who aren’t into them and just genuinely want to help them out or a tough situation
Your lips would be so chapped and sore if you actually made out for 2 hours. Ask me how I know lol
Get ready for a 3-4 chapter misunderstanding. Which actually gets resolved quite quickly. This will end on probably 7-8 more episodes and will also likely also have at least one side story from the top’s POV.
The posting schedule is hard tho. It releases every 10 days but goes on hiatus after the 3rd release of the month.
I feel like I have a hard time understanding wanting approval and affection so much that you’d do what the omega is contemplating. My defense mechanism is throwing away the relationship before they throw me away lol. If my husband cheated on me, I’m gone. My parents want to disown me? I’ll disown them first.
Both are probably toxic coping mechanisms of course.
It is crazy that this the same author who wrote Bye Bye with a green flag Alpha who even goes to Therapy. The Alpha in this story needs to take lessons from him.
Where is this officially licensed (aka where I buy the official chapters)?
Also I am way far ahead on the raws and the art seems to be either degrading (looking like rough sketches with coloring) or the artist is trying some experimental style lol.
I caved and I’m buying the officials. At this point I only come to these sites for the discussions.
I want more of the white haired knight now. Pretty sure duke is endgame but I want more of the cast to show up. Also damn Maytham intruding on the lesbian date!
Ah-In literally tries to kill Joon and almost succeeds. Also ends up almost killing the other dude too. Like that guy is insane. If I could reach in and pluck Joon out of this story, I would.
I need more progress. More plot. More backstory! Or if they can’t give me that, how about en entire chapter dedicated to the GL side story?? Give me more lesbians pls.
Both of the tops are absolute trash. God damn it. I feel so bad for the beta.
I think I’m at peace with this. Like I think we all know where it’s going, and I might not read what’s coming next, but I’m satisfied with Jooin’s growth. No, I don’t think he did Cain dirty. I actually think he did a great job resolving that relationship. Like there’s no way that it was gonna be healthy if they had gotten together when Cain still thought of himself as Jooin’s dog. If he would have stayed, his entire world would have been Jooin and that would not have been healthy for either of them.
I think Jooin also did a good job resolving things with Yahwi. He called him out on the bullshit and walked away.
It’s looking like they might reconcile but at least Jooin spent time on his own, reconnected with friends, graduated, and became an independent adult all on his own. He’s gained confidence and learned how to put himself first.
I’m not a fan of stories wheee abusers get a second chance so I’m probably dropping this now, but it’s not a bad place to drop it. I felt like I ended up getting a conclusion for every character.
You were almost there Jooin, you were almost there. Maybe I’d have been fine with Cain end game a while back but this seems more like a steps backwards after Jooin took the effort to break things off since he realized both relationships were toxic. Why the fuck is he going to look for Cain now?? This just feels like a rushed attempt to try to have a romantic end to the story. It is completely possible to have the story conclude with all of them being alone but working on themselves.
Like fuck, author could have even done something nice and had side stories in the future with a romantic ending for each ML (after they all got therapy).
This story ughhhhh
Does anyone else find it funny/weird that they have two sets of ears? Human ones and animal ones? Is one set just for show or do they hear out of both sets? lol, it’s bugging me.
Having first read this was it was being posted, I had mixed feelings towards the story. I ultimately sort of justified everything based on their past lives and just equating it to trauma that obviously carried over into sunbae’s soul.
I re-read it in its entirety a couple of nights ago and I’ve decided to list out all my issues with it.
First of all, the art is garbage. I wish they hadn’t even had sex scenes because seeing penises with faces was just unsettling. Sunbae’s body proportions were also out of a horror movie. His head was wider than his waist and hips…
Moving on to the story: I’m fine with fiction being fiction and have read plenty of stories with extreme non con that I enjoyed because it very much is not real life. One of my favorite series is Finder and I’m still enjoying Roses and Champagne.
The problem with this story is that the non con and their relationship is seen is well, very loving. Sunbae just loves Hosik soooooo much, he had to have see with him when he was drunk (otherwise how would they have gotten together??), and sunbae loves Hosik soooooo much, he can’t let Hosik see other people, finish his education, or even leave the house without being tracked.
The problem with this is that unlike a lot of non con stories (even though they are romanticized), where it’s clearly a crazy situation where it’s like “okay your lover is a mafia leader who has killed many people, it’s not far fetched to think he’s gonna kidnap and rape you but I can turn off my brain”, Hosik’s story is believable because it’s actually how a lot of controlling relationships are in real life.
Hosik is completely dependent on Sunbae. He doesn’t have a job, took 7 years to finish his education, and has two kids (that he as a man gave birth to). His parents are enamored with the money and perks that being the in law’s of a chaebol gives them, so I hardly think Hosik could get their help to leave if he needed. The only person who expressed concern is his friend, whom Sunbae hates and tries to limit his contact with (he also is shown to be constantly checking his text messages with the friend, so even if he tried to make an escape plan with his friend, Sunbae would know).
Additionally, the two times he tries to rebel, Sunbae threatens him (in the hotel, he gets a message from Sunbae saying he best come home soon as Sunbae doesn’t know what he’ll do if he doesn’t). And after an argument, Sunbae literally breaks the handle off a door to get to Hosik.
I completely believe that is Hosik ever actually tried to leave, Sunbae would actually either lock him up for life or use his kids against him. The only reason this relationship is “romantic” is because… here’s by last point:
Hosik is stupid. He is truly genuinely a simpleton like his friend calls him. It is hard to even like him as a main character because he is so mindnumbingly bland and boring. His entire character is waiting in their flower covered house, taking care of their son, and with for Sunbae to come home and have sex with him. That’s it. He has exactly one friend that he hardly actually sees. He can’t even acknowledge his kids are his own kids when he actually leaves the house. He isn’t even a housewife with chores because they have house staff (a nanny, a cook, a house maid).
Finally, the author does attempt to explain why Sunbae is balls to the wall crazy obsessive about Hosik the simpleton, with some back story about their past lives. But frankly upon a re-read I just felt worse for Hosik. Like damn, fate did him dirty. First he was born a slave, then a poor North Korean defector, and then an ordinary guy that has his chance that having his own life and career snatched from him cuz his slave owner from his first life couldn’t let him go.
The one good thing is that the art is actually perfect for drawing kids. The son and daughter are very adorable.
All in all, this was like a yandere stalker low key confinement story advertised and treated like a wholesome slice of life.
I’ve been reading this and junjou romantica since 2005. I hope this series never ends. I’m never having kids but I have nieces and nephews and I want them to find this open in my phone when I die lmao
This is the shit my friend reads and then uses to justify that her bf is an abusive ass
He’s on a plane, Cain is back with his family abroad. Listen guys, listen, Yahwi x Cain, enemies to lovers. They run into each other on the street, fight, and then fuck *eh eh?* Would be the funniest ending ever.
