I know Hilda may be seeing everyone else in the game as just strings/pixels as some sort of defense mechanism as to being trapped in a horror game, but I didn’t think she’d be a gambler of the highest caliber. I know she restarted the game before with no issues but how could she be sure that a major confrontation with Adrian would warrant the opportunity to restart? I’ve had that happen when I was close to a bad end or about to die in a game you may not be able to save or restart, so I was like “she literally said everything that Adrian hates knowing she lying to his face…” I’d say mad respect if not for the fact she actually thought she’d get a do over. I don’t know how in Satan’s home she’s going to talk herself out of this pickle. I mean he had almost given up his suspicions about her even though hypnosis doesn’t work, but maybe it isn’t all forsaken maybe he’ll like this challenge. ( ̄ε(# ̄)Σ
At first like some others I really wasn’t sure about this particular age crater love story, I meant several years maybe 10 I’m ok. And in this fantasy world with glimpses of the Middle ages and further back girls/teens were married to people much older and their youth, naïvety are taken advantage of. I’m glad that the ML is considerate of her age/position as a discarded saintess and treats her with kindness and isn’t forcing anything on her. ML aged well, is a war hero, and was advisor to former king, he juxtaposes so well with current king who is rude and mainly sexualizes women/girls. If it helps anyone who misses his older self think of it as good karma being imparted to him. (⌒▽⌒)
This turned into a lot so feel free to overlook if it’s too long….
At first I was just really interested in how incubi would be portrayed and the artwork drew me over and I was perplexed by Hana’s initial reactions to the supernatural. I liked a bit of her backstory in being a great writer whose “friends” and I guess others who were close to her began treating her with hatred/jealousy then she began distrusting others. I do feel bad for the cute guy that fell for Hana and her writing, but I think Lux was often able to point out her lies and what she wanted. For a demon, I knew early on he didn’t want to get particularly close to his contact partner so that he could gain power and eventually retrieve his other horn. The betrayal of his last partner has stayed with him through the years since he wholeheartedly gave himself and turned on his own kind for her just to be discarded. The like the use of the line imagery as Hana became more honest with herself and tried to help Lux heal and trust again he got further from the line and close to her. I’ve grown to like Pass but I don’t know how it’s possible to have more than one partner when Lux and Hana decided to be monogamous. (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
Can’t trust a system that doesn’t allow me to sleep, but it was hilarious /dangerous to sleep in literal “Satan’s” bed. What I liked most is that she was so happy to sleep she spoke so highly of the devil. I was really wanting to see that godly pillow though, but who know if the devil’s interest is high enough he could gift her high quality items. First, she has to go from the “kill later human” to “kill never human” I’d want to see if at some point we could work together, certain people like her and people she likes don’t get killed…unless there’s another way to break the curse. First thank you to the translators/uploaders. I'm just thinking to myself: 1) The reincarnated Empress is like many of the reincarnated heroines I've seen...completely different from the past version...so if she was indeed evil or up to no good then didn't Mr. Emperor read the given the manual for people who nearly die? It says give her a trial period to prove she isn't scheming and is indeed a better person or keep from killing said person for a few weeks to find out. 2) Didnt the Empress come from a gentle scholarly tribe, what did she do to deserve death...exist? That's what I'm thinking because Emperor didn't get a say in the manner...I think the only person he got to choose is his favorite concubine who he has unrequited love for. 3) I think the reincarnated empress actually got all the adventure she could bargain for with all these assassination attempts since she would date guys in the past and get bored after 3 months, but honestly the Emperor is still quite childish even though he's in the seat of power...all he can think about is getting the woman who sees him as a little brother to fall for him just a little and see him something more...that would be sweet if he didn't try to kill the reincarnated Empress all the time who actually sees him as a man and maybe be happy that she got a friend. 4) I find the best parts are when the Empress so easily outsmarts the Emperor, teases him, and can actually defend herself against the assasination attempts. 5)Emperor got his own taste of Karma...he succeeded in killing the former Empress for whatever reasons he had, but now he has deal with a new kind of Empress he doesn't know how to handle...so in your face Mr.Emperor...maybe your lady love would see you better if got a tiny bit more mature and actually try to play nice with the Empress for once your blood pressure demands it and your too young to have that many veins poppin all over the place. I look forward to character growth when I can say I remember when... ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I'm a bit confused by one part of the story. Aseph lost his house and Mom in the fire that Zay's Dad was accused of starting and let him get away in the rewritten fate that was given by the goddess of love instead of Aseph dying along with his parents. But I was just thinking if the fire hadn't happened Aspeh's father was still very abusive, his Mom seemed to be very ill and was pregnant while she was getting full on beatings...wouldn't Aspeh's Father have killed them then maybe himself if not for the fire? (This could have been another horrendous ending) Aseph's mom was sold off and raped while she was gone, and she'd definitely be a victim of intimate partner violence so she may have came back for her son but thought her husband would go back to the way he was before he suspected that Aseph wasn't his and she was cheating on him. (I wonder how differently it would be if she took Aseph and ran when she escaped whatever hell she was in before...then he would have his mom and sibling...life would be hard but maybe he wouldn't have been homeless/molested on the streets?) I don't know it really does seem that Aseph was cursed to suffer if not for Zay being blessed and wanting him to have warmth and happiness the suffering would continue...welp the savior part really hits hard given my rant.( ̄∇ ̄")
I'm loved the character development and plot...all of the characters are interesting in their own way!!!! If Ceaser is a villain then he is the sweetest villian ever, plus on another lever he's definitely showing signs of PTSD that would happen given what he went through on the battlefield...I'm hoping that his wife will confess to him soon I'd love to see his reaction!! The original heroine is as amazing as the reincarnated "villainess" and I love how they both became friends instead of being at each other's throats!(≧∀≦)
I know she was sold to the emperor by her former husband for some form of mine but how can she take out all of her rage on her daughter and servants...I mean what's blood ever done for Tia? Absolutely nothing but get her arms, legs, and tongue cut off without any shred of gratitude or love. Sad that the Saintess and the Duke in her past life were the only ones who was kind to her even though that hurt more knowing that she orchestrated they're downfall before.
I don’t know how to feel she went from helplessly/hopelessly talking up how good looking he was since she doesn’t know much else about him and steadily increasing his murderous intent to 91%. I was on pins and needles thinking she’d die and was thinking surely they had some in-depth background for Satan’s character and you could have used that to convince him that your not an average human…let’s work together. I mean he had to be somewhat tired hearing how good looking he was when she looked terrified. But, Hilda despised to go out in a blaze of glory hugging Satan…he was shook. I know he’s killing to improve his health and Hilda nearly died, but I can’t wait to see where this leaves them. (=・ω・=)
