They need to conceal the fact that Jian doesn’t have the same father because that means Jian would not be able to inherit the company because he is *not* the owners son, like jitae is.

I don’t think that Jian and Jitae’s moms are sisters or even related. Before this chapter, everyone thought that Jitae’s dad was also Jian’s dad. But now it was revealed that Jian’s dad is President Yang, so Jian’s parents must’ve lied about Jitae’s dad being Jian’s dad, so that Jian could be included in the will as an official Baek inheritor
