Carcel silently loved her and supported her in the sidelines but he could not do anything more because she was the king's wife. You have no idea what this man went through. But yeah he did love her. I don't remember what happened to him after.
The third life Ines had the chance to turn things around so she used the painter to get out of her situation. She never loved him tho. But she did immensely pity him because she dragged him into the situation. All the while Carcel helped her through it, even down to her escape . Because the king was after her and wanted to lock her up. Ines' hot brother also somehow helped and don't misunderstand him because the man is GOOD. Also Carcel loved her in this timeline even if she didn't love him back.
Now timeline 2 & 3 Ines remembers. Carcel I think remembers later on. They also have 3 kids together and they have lots of sex.

Unfortunately the only place where you can get english translation of the novel is on the tappytoon app (its paid) and from what i’ve heard despite being the official translations, they’re not that good AND they’re quite behind compared to the manhwa

You can see many cases where a crime happened 20-40 years ago and the victim or there family kill the children and grandchildren just because they think criminals descendants shouldn't be living happily.
If you research about this kind psychological situation, you will know how injustice can make human lose all the reasoning.

She has a good backstory. A solid ass foundation for her to act the way she does.
But her character is just terrible. I usually like my villains unjustifiable and just evil for the sake of evil. Or something like once they go down the path of darkness they don't look back. Backstory and all.
Anetta is ALMOST the same. Because she had everything she needed. But no instead she acts like a kid despite the trauma she went through. She doesn't act like a real villainess but a villainess who thinks she is the main character.
I wouldn't read her manhwa if she was an mc. She's far too weak of a character and wussy.

She acts like a child/immature because she isnt rational. Roxanna is a cool headed and coniving character, while annetta is purely driven by blind rage.
She definitely could be used better, but i think her immaturity adds to her character, shes a lousy hypocrite who blames the emperor and doesn't realise anything shes done wrong. She's annoying but she's strong. She acts impulsively because she truly believes she's the stongest.
I really hope she doesn't cry when the truth is revealed. And i genuinely wish for her to get stabbed.
