the prince mental and physical abused her, raped her, caused the accident that killed her unborn child, then laughed in her face as he made her LICK HIS BOOTS for her fathers life who he already killed, and killed her, you CAN NOT EVER get over that no matter how "nice" he APPEARS to be now, as a victim myself even the thought of her having to go back to him makes me physically sick, cruel doesn't even begin to explain his action towards her and in my opinion should NEVER be forgiven and then even in the second life where he got a second chance to be the "good guy" he is still a shitty asshole of a person even after she tells him what happens in the first life he STILL doesn't treat her well that why I will not and will never like that goddamn piece of shit

Plz check out the book this is based on it goes so much more in debt of the character's backstory and their personalities than the manga. Don't get me wrong I love the manga but u miss huge chunks of character development bc the people who created the manga may not have the time to put everything in (which I very much understand n am very grateful for their incredible hard work). An example of this is Maria's backstory that you only get a glimpse of in the manga (chapter 11) , it's extremely rare for a commoner to have magic and because she has light magic people thought she was an illegitimate child, people stop talking to her, friends abandon her, she was alone until she came to the academy, and her father left her mother causing her mother to stop talking to her or even looking at her. U can find the book on wattpad under the same name as the manga.
