Never read the novel.. but I am happy that the manhwa adaptation has its alternate ending. The manhwa readers has actually something to look forward into.. and also the outcome of both Cliff and Possessed Rize is now more satisfying than what novels has foretold.
Tbh. The cliff in this manhwa is much more of a obssessed to Rize, narcissist, superior complex and twisted. Which is actually do make sense why he is still crazy with Rize. He loved the fact Rize actually showing off her evil side, her bad traits aside from showing that she is a saintly good character; after getting along with Rize and actually caught of her scheming nature... he has now thought he got her because she is now attached to him morally..
In this version, no more characters is "brainwashed" reason to downplay his involvement with MCs suffering.
Like in manhwa version. Edith clearing of the stages, did not just affect Killian but everyone around her changed, including Cliff himself. Even with possessed Rize less influence, Cliff is still obssess with her. That shows how twisted he is and is madly inlove.
It is sad that the manhwa did not intensify the suffering of Edith and how much desparate Killian is. How in the manhwa, duke and duchess has no biases and actually had logic and awareness.. how now, the main couple ain't going out of the household and is done with literally everyone..
This is the result of the twist of the plot from the failed execution has now a butterfly effect with succeeding chapters...

Usually.. BL themed manhwas that initially shounen ai always wished for their shounen ai to be explicitly be mature (yaoi).
First time read comment wishing the manwha to be shounen ai instead of mature/yaoi ..
Maybe due to this being plot heavy and the mc and ml are not in the couple stage yet that the explicit scenes are seen as distractions... because why are we knowing the large D when there is impending threat outta there that needs more lore?? And I agree on that. And maybe that is why Traces of the Sun/ A trace to wonder is such a good BL with almost same concept does well sincr it actually focused on the plot, the action scenes and it is shounen ai
I cannot get into reading this much in 1 go... I kept crying due to the circumstances she is in.

I cannot get past the premise of being pushed to marry a man that you do not know about. FL havijg a punishment wedding due to just being a daughter, an asset to her father. The fault of other person just being passed to FL due to her being his daughter.
Tbh, the FLs attitude and pride and the MLs attitude is making this a bit wholesome. But overall.. what happened to the FL is just horrible.
They have shown the outcome in the 1st chap. She died though! So, is this just a recap of how she lived being an imposter??

Did not read the novel of this.. but the only good thing this version of the story went Is how justice was served nicely to the controller of Reeze (the author), Reeze herself and Clint.
The author is really a loser. She fantasized herself to be in Reeze and wanted the life of Reeze so she will get her hands dirty to make that a reality. Which with the story being repeated all over again. Became so boring and predictable to her and the repetition of events got her in the head, thus now she is blindsided with things not in her favor. She deserves torment whatever those previous ediths are envisioning.
The translations are way too bad... can't understand the plot except for the pbvious twist
