A non-English-speaking translator basically sniped the English translation of a manga from another non-English-speaking group. If that isn't the most Mangago thing I've ever seen.

Maybe the translator is trying to learn english. So what if they don't speak it? It still made sense. I think the translator did a great job. Many translators do this to learn other languages so please dont bash on other people's talent. If you're so irked about it, why don't you do it yourself? Then you can see how challenging and time consuming translating really is. So why don't you be respectful to the person who took time out of their day and did a very good job translating this. Also, you should get off your own high horse. Quit looking down on people who don't speak English as well as you do. If you want perfect manga then buy it yourself instead of being here and bullying others who are just trying to practice a language they aren't fluent in.

If you knew how to read manga, you'd realize that it says "pervasive stare" because in japanese manga the text is read from right to left :) Therefore, it should be read as "pervasive stare" and if you cannot understand that as english, I think that is your own problem you need to deal with instead of attacking another person. Also, how can you prove that it was put through a translator...? And who says they did this for internet clout?! They literally just wanted to update an amazing manga that wasn't updated for a long time. Clearly other translators didn't want to update there work on here, which is respectable. This person decided to take things into their own hands and translate it themselves.

But this translation is horrible. I'm assuming the translator is using an app because there are entire chapters where I have no idea what the hell anyone is talking about.
Also the poor slave, not only is the Emperor abusing him, but like most royal servants he is castrated (his balls are cut off.) Emperors in China would do this to prevent the servants from having sex with their concubines, everyone's balls went chop chop.

Jeonghan meets his cousin Iljo, who he almost forgot existed, at his uncle's funeral. Feeling sympathy for the impoverished Iljo, Jeonghan impulsively suggests to live together, which he soon regrets.
"What are you doing?"
"......."
"What do you have to say for yourself."
He asked because he discovered Iljo secretly tying to kiss him while he was asleep. Jeonghan attempts to kick out Iljo, but, in the end, fails to do so. Instead, he asks how Iljo can get rid of his unrequited feelings.
"Just kiss me once."
"If I do that, will that help you like me less?"
On the pretext of sympathy, Jeonghan slowly gave his heart to Iljo. Before he knows it, he finds himself to be sexually involved and possessive over him...
That meme about understanding the plot is especially relatable if you've also read Heaven and Hell Roman Company. All of this author's works are confusing af.
