I like how the author make us perceive the ex husband. He is the villain although he was not doing anything villainy…Irl people always said women should be grateful that the husband didnt abuse, cheat, manipulate etc. But that is the most bare minimum thing ever. He is emotionally unavailable. But people would always say “oh he works so hard to give you money…” Nowadays women also have their own income and i think it becomes irrrlevant cause at the end of the day.. women work, expected to give birth, and do all the housework by default. Whereas man, just work. In my case and a lot of my gfs, people around always ask “Youre pretty how come you dont have a partner?” Women are expected to accept any ‘good guy’ that comes around to them. Like NO!
