I've been thinking about this for some time, and Nadir, in Arabic, means something like precious iirc. But in astrological terms, it's a low point, directly below an observer. It's the opposite of a zenith.
This isn't a theory or anything of the sort. I just find it interesting, given that Nadir's an antagonist.
What drew me in was the tea. It was informative. It was interesting.
But the longer I read, I don't find myself interested in the cast, or the romance. The only draw for me has been the tea recipes, and the love with which they're presented.
I can't seem to like the cast the same way. I don't feel engaged by the plot.
That said, if you enjoy simple, straightforward plots, this is an okay read.
There isn't really complexity, grand scheming, or mad conspiracy to be questioning. It's a very light read.
[Note: Dropped at Ch.62]
It's frustrating, right now.
I understand her fear of Cabel, but it's been shown, time and again, that he's not one to harm someone for fun.
If he wanted to kill her, he could have done so already. Instead, he asks her to be honest with him and she isn't.
Frankly, if she ends up with Cabel, she doesn't really deserve him because of just how much I can imagine this would hurt him. ( ̄へ ̄)
"In order to face the villainess, she must become an even more wicked villainess. This was the new path Aria chose to take revenge on Mielle who murdered both her and her mother."
This is why you shouldn't expect Aria to become a pure and dignified lady. It's stated, in the synopsis, that her goal is become a true villainess.
I think the people who don't like her character development are forgetting this point.
She does, in fact, have an end goal, and a reason for acting as she does.
Unlike many other villianess leads, her conviction is a little interesting, and I rather like that.
Yes, her reactions are very emotional and come across as immature, but isn't that how we often view revenge in the first place?
Note: Original comment was deleted for whatever reason. Review is based off of both the novel & the webtoon.
But don't let this review turn you away. It just wasn't MY cup of tea.
Tagged "strong female lead", Lucia has a second chance at life, a chance to change her fate, but the plot, or lack thereof, doesn't give Lucia any sorts of goals or causes to fight.
Lucia isn't even strong-willed, as evidenced by the way she falls in love with the ML almost immediately, despite a promise not to.
The ML is your stereotypical douchebag, but on god, he falls for his wife and dotes on her. Sort of. He's pretty much addicted to how cute she is during sex and that's... all the appeal.
Her contract marriage is supposed to "lead down a path even she couldn't foresee."
And sure, there's eventually some sort of, wait for it, SKELETONS IN THE FAMILY CLOSET.
Lucia's supposed to be a manic pixie dream girl who makes ML realise his humanity. Gross.
I have no idea what's going on with the scanlation, and this is looking like a really bad snipe too lol. Pages are hard to see, translation is difficult to read, and we lost uploads as well. PLUS promo for another site? When your work is this bad? Really?
Where has the pride for scanlation gone? ( ̄へ ̄)
