He really didn’t. Shika shouldn’t have kissed him without so much as a heads up. He kissed Shou without his consent because he made an assumption. He shouldn’t have assumed Shou’s feelings without even asking Shou what his feelings were.
Sure, Shou called for help but it was quite obvious that he regretted it as soon as he said it. He was shocked and probably more than a little scared. He didn’t know what else to do.
His shitty cover up story was his best attempt at making sure Shika didn’t get into any trouble. Despite what happened, Shou still thinks of Shika as a friend. He still wants to be on good terms with him and is still trying to get in contact with him years later.

It’s not his fault he didn’t return Shika’s feelings and his shitty cover up story was probably because he was super shaken and also he didn’t want Shika to get in trouble.
I don’t know if I’m missing something but it’s implied he’s still trying to get in contact with Shika. He still wants to be friends with him.

I thought this was going to be fucked up but in the end it just tore my fucking heart out.

I really like him so far and it makes me sad cause I know that he and zombie aren’t gonna end up together.
I just hope he doesn’t get hurt and ends up happy.

He’s latched onto Bum as a sort of really fucked up maternal figure as well as a punching bag and a stress reliever. He’s grown attached to him in such a way that he clearly demonstrates multiple times that he would flip his shit if Bum somehow got away from him, whether it be by dying or actually escaping.
I think that he’s realized the power Bum has over him at this point and he does not like that. He also sure as Hell doesn’t want Bum to figure out that he now has power over Sangwoo.
These past few chapters have mostly consisted of Sangwoo thinking and coming to conclusions. Us as an audience haven’t seen what conclusions he ended up coming to but I don’t think it’ll be good for Bum.
I predict that at some point in the next few chapters he will do something to both “put Bum in his place” and to try and minimize the intense and unhealthy attachment he’s developed to Bum.
I think his “I win” comment might be talking about winning against Bum in an attempt to regain power over him.

Lavender-Rose June 15, 2018 7:21 am

I feel like a lot of the fandom automatically assume that everything Sangwoo does is all in the interest of manipulating Bum. I’m not saying that a lot of his actions aren’t that but I’m saying that Sangwoo is not the devious all-knowing villainous mastermind a lot of people make him out to be.
He’s a really fucked up human being who’s smart enough to not be caught but also just got really fucking lucky multiple times. I swear Sangwoo has escaped discovery more times out of sheer luck or coincidence than he’s escaped because of his wits. He also seems to have gotten a bit cocky and overconfident after escaping the police but that might just be the alcohol talking.
Honestly I think a lot of what Sangwoo does to Bum really comes down to the fact that he enjoys fucking with him. There’s obviously more to his feelings than that but that’s what I choose to attribute a lot of his actions to.

Yea it's kind of funny in a way. Most of them think for every story there has to be a good guy and a bad guy, and don't seem to comprehend the complexity of pretty much every major character in this manwha

I mean there’s no doubt that Sangwoo’s a bad guy but just like with Bum I think the fandom gives him more credit than he probably deserves.
The fact that he’s not been captured yet is like 50% police incompetence 40% luck and 10% actual skill and intelligence.

    Maddy June 15, 2018 2:16 pm

I don't doubt he's a bad guy, it's just most people view him as the classic villain rubbing his hands and Bums some innocent damsel in distress. I think Sangwoos probably the overarching antagonist but objectively there's really no good guy in this story. Sangbae might be an exception but even he seems more like the classic "wants to be noticed for how smart he is" rather than someone rushing in to save the day

Wow, he really seems to be coming undone in this chapter. I read somewhere that alcohol can make symptoms of certain mental illnesses worse and I wonder if that’s what’s happening with Sangwoo.
He seems almost manic in this chapter and he acts really recklessly by loudly talking about murder in public and forcing a man who doesn’t know how to drive to drive him home.
Also he legitimately hallucinates and thinks that a random woman in front of him is one of the girl’s he murdered. He could be speaking metaphorically but considering that we’ve seen him hallucinate his mother in earlier chapters, I’d say that it’s more likely he’s actually hallucinating.
In conclusion, Sangwoo really shouldn’t drink.

Manic. That´s it. Thanks for pointing it out.

    clickme000 June 14, 2018 8:49 pm

    well psychopaths are usually reckless.

well psychopaths are usually reckless. @clickme000

That’s true but Sangwoo acts notably more recklessly and impulsively when drunk than when sober.

Lavender-Rose June 14, 2018 6:32 pm

Can we all agree that Sangwoo should probably not drink? Because apparently a drunk Sangwoo is a Sangwoo who loses all of his inhibitions and loudly talks about being a serial killer in a public resturant.

Lavender-Rose June 14, 2018 6:03 pm

Yeah, he’s hella messed up and not as innocent as a lot of fans think he is but let’s face it, Bum is not the sharpest crayon in the box. I don’t think he’s some master manipulator, maybe he’s trying to be but I certainly don’t think he’s very good at it.
He’s also notably obsessive. The fact that he keeps a list doesn’t really surprise me but I doubt he’d be willing to try any of those things on his list if Sangwoo wasn’t in such a good mood.
I also don’t think that the Bum we’ve seen so far is fake. He’s just gotten too cocky and secure since Sangwoo is being nice to him and he overstepped his bounds.

Lucy In The Sky June 14, 2018 6:51 pm

I agree! We all know Bum isn't okay. He's pretty crazy. But he's being fooled by Sangwoo's sudden personality shift.

I didn’t like this ending, not at all. It tore out my heart and stomped on it for extra measure but, this was by no means a bad ending.
It didn’t come out of left field and none of the characters act d out of character. Haruki is weak-willed and overly empathetic. He still feels responsible for Haruka and is now even more bound to him due to the dying he feels for “killing” Haruka’s mother.
He’s not in love with Haruka and he never will be but unless someone with a stronger will and a more understanding personality than his former coworker interferes, he probably won’t leave Haruka on his own.
It’s a painfully bitter and realistic ending. People don’t escape abusers easily and it takes a lot of mental strength and willpower to move one and walk away from a situation like that. Strength that Haruki doesn’t have.
I didn’t like this ending but it was a very fitting one for the story.
