Yes, Yata's black-haired friend is the underling (I guess) of the yakuza guy in the Yoru To Asa No Uta series. There's a small scene in Yoru To Asa where it shows black-haired yakuza wearing a suit and it says Yata gave him the suit (shows a little chibi Yata). I don't remember seeing him in Aru Otoko no Uta though, but his boss (light-haired onii-chan obsessing over Yoru) was.
