I have a feeling maybe its like the Anime " Scool Life"
Where on of them is already dead, but thats the plot of the story and the other one has been talking to a Zombie the whole time.
Idk but something about their interaction is just weird and it seems like the Author keep dropping hints that one of them might be affected already.
