The devil character kills the detective in order to protect his own partner, so they are two peas of the same pod. Both will do anything for love....
Seolwoo and the detective's plot is more interesting. Yes they obviously aren't people you would want to know in real life, but hey it's fiction, and their storyline has a bit more depth, if anything. But for all those who want them to suffer, you get your wish. Detective is murdered, Seolwoo ends up restrained and alone in prison, and the devil and vampire couple start a new happy life together.

I can't remember the dialogue, but the vampire who gets saved talks to the purple hair devil and Mariam about what happened and I think they end up justifying it and move on. The police office are happy because their ratings have went up due to being able to close a case and catch a famous serial killer. One of the detectives workmates looks over to the detectives desks and I think his boss tells him to get over it, he deserved it or something. Seolwoo ends up in either prison or a state hospital, which is a psychiatric hospital where some patients have been put there instead of prison. He's alone, and restrained, which suggests the latter environment. The devil and vampire couple move into their new home, and it's a happy ending for them. The series is already finished on the Korean lezhin if you want to find the raws. I probably have made a few mistakes as it's been a while since I looked at them and used that fickle google translate. (⌒▽⌒)

For me this is really one of the best omega verse story I've ever read! It's beautifully executed and I love the drama, the plot, and characters I mean I just love everything about it! Their circumstances is really sad where they are in love with each other but fate just really played a big joke on them this is soo heart breaking..
