I wish there were more mcs like kang jun because not only he has a solid character development, hes also mentally strong and stood his ground against yohan in the end who genuinely had to grovel for kang jun (many "strong/buff" ukes couldn't relate since their semes have gotten away with worse stuff). Kang Jun has a realistic and relatable character arc, and the author doesn't try to make him different looking from your average ukes (like trying to make him tall and muscular to show hes not like the others like many new novel/manhwa writers do these days), he is short, pretty and gets flustered and sometimes is a pushover especially in the beginning but his solid personality that borders on moral ambiguity/greyness and his very unreliable narration and self awareness is what sets him apart from the other holy mother twink mcs (i love them too tho). I love him fr and could talk about him for hours.

But I know my wish won't really come true since bl (manhwa) fandom's definition of a well rounded and strong uke begins and ends in him being physically "strong" and masc looking (dont ask them about personality). Like if kang jun wasn't a pretty twink, i know he would've gotten viral in eng fandom and would have edits everywhere, especially with the stuff he would do at the end lmao.

And bl fandom fans are hypocrites at how they let the semes get away with worse stuff but god forbid the uke is pretty with clear skin and has a mean disposition.

When the novel is so good, they had to include every single narration from the novel.

Let semes be poor and shy and let ukes be manipulative! Not every bottom needs to be buff or shy and not every bl top needs to be manipulative and charming.

(This is JUST MY THEORY and its big you can ignore it) --- I personally don't think he looks like a child at all but him looking youthful could be intentional seeing how he was taken in as a child by seme's father and was basically a "art muse" and he refers to him as his master.

The poor uke was probably exploited and heavily groomed by the seme's father to be more like a art project than an actual person and having no one else by his side he probably grew up timid and sheltered. His character design was probably made by keeping his backstory in mind and how he would be more appealing to the greater masses since being super buff and normal looking would be unnatural for a person who was probably being kept as "innocent, boyish and sheltered" intentionally by some perverted and pedophillic old man and would only make him appealing to a shorter demographic. His bedroom is childish and seme intentionally taunts him by talking to him childishly (im not sure about this one) and psychology tormenting him by playing a messed up version of "hide and seek". Enoch is implied to be mute and disabled people are more likely to be victims of abuse as well.

Also the names aren't probably chosen randomly either.
Enoch (uke) means "disciplined, trained", David (art that resembles uke) means "to love/beloved" and Hector (seme) means "steadfast/to hold".

Remember, this is a genuine psychological smut manhwa written by someone who is notoriously known for writing mindfucks like code-ana and bad life. If you are here for the usual strong buff uke gets fucked by black flags go to back to c.a and bad life.

Long Rant Incoming!!

I swear these people did not read the actual manhwa just saw the cover and skimped through the first chapter because the mc doesn't turn into a twink, he genuinely has the same body type for both of his lifetimes. It's just that for his first life, he looked more ordinary and in his second life, he is more handsome. The body type is very similar. He is not super buff but he is also not super skinny. If you still think he is a twink, he would be a twink in both of his lives not just one.

The shoulder length and the height are also similar. But obviously, BL readers nowadays are only interested in body types and bodyshaming (and also shaming in general) non muscular, soft-looking fictional men who do not confirm into traditionally (western) masculine build and personality.

And this is why new releases these days about two big dudes fucking instead of concrete plots that include both good plot and fucking because BL readers do not care about plot no matter how much they act it matters and even if they did, they mostly care about big masculine dudes fucking and like calling men who dare not not be super masc men 'bitches' and crybabies from the get go.

And also twink ukes aren't very popular anymore, if you think they are, you certainly are new to BL because nowadays buff ukes are the trend. And I have seen most buff uke lovers love to read manhwas that state there is a pretty uke AND STILL COMPLAIN ABOUT THAT LIKE GO THERE IS 39393939 OTHER STUFF FOR YOU WITH BUFF UKE, YOU ARE LAZY AND NOT SEARCHING PROPERLY!!!
