Guys this webtoon has help me realize what I don't like about some romance books. The lover interest has no life or reason living beside the mc. For example when they were at the ball we should have saw the ml humble the one guy but we immediately switched back to what are mc was doing. I love that she has a life outside love but why can't he have one too. She has a job because she wants to help her family and whatnot. The ml wants to because king for the mc like when the mc does something she has different reasons yk but with its the ml his reasons always boils down to the mc might like it or it could help them. Author please give the ml his own life stop making his own life about the mc. Like ofc he should be free when she is for the plot in all. But how about he wants to become king so he can get revenge on his family not so he can help the mc. Like why is the mc fully fleshed out and the ml like - duh mc this mc that- I can't understand it??? There's wanting to help someone and loving someone authors need to understand aren't the same. I understand your point but I also think we have to take into account we mostly see the story unfold through MFC eyes, aside from some povs of the queen and such most is told/seen through one pov this is why I love books with dual povs bc it's more interesting and story driven.
I fucking hate the slave trope with a passion as a black woman seeing these mostly non black author try to romanize being a slave like. I know it fake but I genuinely feel like it down plays what black people really went through. Because being a slave wasn't just cleaning and what not. Also why do they never have the trauma that would come with being a slave. Also it never felt right when they get into a relationship because if the SLAVE says no they could DIE like it just gets on my nerves. Maybe I'm going crazy but I just can't see any romance forming between the two Iike sure pez like her but I just can see tia suddenly like pez back I feel like it would make more sense if pez ends up with someone else . The way they have written tia character it would be out of the blue for her to start focusing on romance instead of her business or family yk. We're also 200 chapters in and yet they don't seems interested in romance. My ideal ending would be this growing and expanding her multiple business and spending time with her family for pez it would be him getting his revenge for himself becoming king and realizing he never really loved tia like that but instead realize tia is more of a friend/family to him because she has been with he since he was young so they don't get together pez finds someone else and the two just stay close like family ヾ(☆▽☆)
Idk, I do think they've been starting to set up the romance already so it's not coming out of nowhere nowhere. Perez likes her bc of the savior trope, and tia is kinda falling victim to teenage/young adult hormones (not in a bad way lol) where she's more cognizant of boys (specifically Perez). I do think someone can have a romance while also focusing on a business, and it may actually become a stronger driving force to some ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Imo this story isn’t really a romance story. Yes it has romance in it but it’s not the main plot. The main plot is about our FL taking the steps to become the family head and ensuring her loved ones are healthy and happy for as long as possible. The romance is a side plot hence why it might seem kind of sudden if she falls in love with Perez. But like the other comment said, it’s been set up already that she’s fallen victim to teenage hormones, in a good way. Even as a teen, she’s blushed a few times when Perez did something for her, not to mention the kiss a few chapters back. That being said, I’m fine with her ending up with Perez. I just want to see her succeed in her goals.

It's very very slow burn I kid you not there is alot left tia definitely cares for perez but you are right she doesn't have the same feelings as perez right now but soon enough it will happen and very organically. I think that's what i like about this manhwa that neither of the leads life revolve around eachother they have their own goals and are allies who fall for eachother. ( Perez will say something a little different though *wink wink*). Since this story is mainly a revenge story that's definitely the main focus for the most part
I see it more clear than other mahnwas, I mean they know eachother since childhood, the worry bout eachother, the have lots of common experiences and slowly but surely have developed feelings. I guess not all love looks like cheesy mahnwas
