Yeah the pacing of the story doesn't go well at all with what they choose to depict. Feelings wise there seems to be gaps that dont make sense. Like what do you expect us to think? The only attempts of a convo between them went no where so what now? Poor way of writing what happened during the time lapse.
I don't think the author really expects the people who reads this to think. The story is clearly just another ntr hentai and I would be shocked if it doesn't end soon with a typical ntr ending of Lily being the sex slave of Rose for life. The story doesn't really allow for anything else.
