I re-read this again and i just realized how much hints the uke dropped. He isn't trash, he liked kaga but he knew he never stood a chance bcs kaga sleeps with so many ppl.

He felt really defeated, he thought kaga would never be able to fall in love and just stay as a good-for-nothing but he was shocked to hear he had a girlfriend (despite him knowing kaga for much longer but never stood a chance).

Hate me but this is how i honestly feel about the story

The baby came from the seme's sister

He comes from a well off family but they prob disowned or disliked him for being gay or soft hearted (idk) and that toxic mentality was also put on his hypothetical sister, SOOOO when his sister gets pregnant she goes to her brother (the only family member she can trust) to take care of the baby while she ran off somewhere (or maybe stayed with the family but kept the pregnancy a secret)

Lotta people bitter in the comments about how Naguru treats Herapi and I don't really get it? There were a couple times where it felt like he was being mean, but always in a teasing way (like when he chose Towa's flower over Herapi's) but he clearly loves him??? They just have a different way of expressing love but he told the landlady that he's his family, he loved how sweet Herapi is, he went for the ride with him when they borrowed the bike, he took him to his secret spot, he told him things he didn't tell others. There's so much love there. I get if you were unsatisfied with the reciprocation but you can't say that it isn't there just because it's done differently.
As for unanswered questions, it did bug me a bit but y'know sometimes you don't need all the details to appreciate the present. Sure we don't know who Towa's biological family is, but we know who his family is now. I do think they could have expanded upon the kids on the island just to flesh out his character better, I just assume that he took care of the kids from his community but it would've been ideal to just provide a little more info like "they're his siblings" "they're orphans" etc. Since he wanted a family so badly, I guess that implies he didn't have one.
Also people saying "he only got with Herapi because he wanted a family!" ? Okay? He wanted love and a place to belong so he got with Herapi who he loves and feels he belongs with lol
Sorry I ranted I just love this story a lot and even though it's not perfect, I think to say the love isn't fully reciprocated just isn't true

the official and unofficial are surprisingly similar but give off different feels. though the descriptors are the biggest difference. i do like this serious and love how goofy and cute the couple are.

Rereading this, I can’t explain how much I love it. We really feel so strongly wether negative or positively for Natsuki because we see everything from his perspective, flaws and all. He’s so human. Loving someone too late, yet still being accepted by Seno, who’s flawed in his own way, just like Hakushima. They all want love and acceptance so badly, and it’s beautiful how flawed they are, yet we still root for them, especially Seno. Wanting to change for someone who’s caught up in their own fantasy of love. We never fully understand Hakushima, even in the end, and that sticks with you as a reader. It’s brilliant. I also cant help but keep thinking of their family dynamic and i love that the author shows it to us.
Natsuki comes from a loving open family (sure they have their challenges but they still love their son even if he’s adopted, and even if he feels like an outsider) the cuckoo reference is so good too, because how sad it is in reality! Yet it’s part of nature.
Seno coming from a chaotic home with no real love or acceptance makes him the one desperately wanting to be loved and it’s incredibly relatable.
Hakushima has everything a person could want but the love he desires which is the kind that can’t be replaced by money or status and his loneliness while still being the center of attention is also quite human. we don’t get to see more of it but it would be so nice to get a chapter from his view point. In the end I feel
A movie or drama version would be so good to see ! ♡＾▽＾♡

Apparently the 4th volume will be released on June 25th, so the English scans will prolly be a few months after that date, like August or September, so we gotta wait for this one guys
