I appreciate it that the author stand up to his ground on making Kirishima a flawed character. He's definitely not your "good guy" and even on his backstory he is already like this. "Why is life boring?" is not something a young normal kid would say.
In my opinion (so don't attack me) I think romanticizing something is when a character is made a bad guy but was suddenly overturned and the author take a step back to show that the MC had a terrible past that's why he turned out like this. Then it's giving us readers to make reasons on why we should accept the toxic behavior because he had this past (good guy-->unfortunate past--> turned out to be bad guy-->so he can still be a bad guy but has reasons why he is like that).
It's clear that Kirishima is not ideal for Yoshino. But in case she fell in love with him, she is smart enough to understand what she's getting herself in to. So I will support my girl if she chose him. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
100% , compared to those bl main leads that do 10x worse and still have ppl waiting on "development" kirishima is very flawed but not irredeemable if yoshino of all people wants to be with him its will probably be because she sees his flaws and possibly knows shes the only one who can "make up" for them and is ok with that
Well-said! Love how you perfectly explained how I think romanticizing is for bad things. People are WAY too used to stories with a red flag ML and think the ML should normally have a messed up backstory in order to make up for all the bad things he did. They think those are normal and accept it. I admit I also do that and like those stories, but at the same time I acknowledge and like how this story truly points out every dude in it, is bad in his own way and doesn’t sugarcoat it. Yet people don’t like that and are still upset that there’s bad guys in a GANG manga. Romance genre really puts an ideal in everyone’s heads and many readers expect their ideals to apply to every story lmao.
Right? I'm glad someone agreed. ;) TBH I'm looking forward to how the author will show the romance. So far it's not yet focused on that. But when the time comes, I think it will be something nice to see because for sure it will not be a forced. They've been through a lot in the past 7 volumes so if they ever fall in love, it's understandable.
Yes, I agree. This yakuza heavy themed story is not for people who sees romance between 2 MCs like it should always have a perfect setting. Something like the ML should be a good person to be deserving of the FL's love. I understand why others don't like Kirishima but to be fair, both of them are not in a romantic relationship YET. Toxic is when the other is hurting. But Yoshino is not affected at all. lol
Exactly!! Of course I get people not liking him. But at the same time, people are mad FOR yoshino when she couldn’t care less. That’s the main reason why I don’t mind. If yoshino did like him and cared while he was doing all that- THEN I’d be mad too. But since she doesn’t, I’m chilling and not caring as well since she’s not hurt whatsoever
Murim plot in the modern world looks weird. I can't take the martial arts seriously because it's not portrayed that well. I mean murim for me is cool action packed stories like Return of the Flowery Mountain Sect - Nano Machine - The Return of the Crazy Demon.
But kudos to them that they tried to push the bounderies by trying to tie up martial arts + leveling system + modern world + dungeons.
It's OK so let's see where this goes.
This guy never fails to amaze me. He just don't give a fcuk. HAHAHAHA
