I- I am honestly confused about how an art style would have anything to do with a character's personality. One can make eyes big like a child, a body like a child and still make them act like an old man (chilchuck from dungeon meshi, I am looking at you). Art style doesnt equal reason for a personality. It is just a stylistic choice for a reason.

I feel like the definition of pick me has been LOST... a pick me is not someone who is shy or cute or "childish". A girl example would be: "I'm not like the other girls, I like MONSTER TRUCKS and CHUGGING BEER!!. Other girls are woke liberal blue hair losers!" There has to be an element of intentionally trying to set yourself apart PLUS putting down others.
