Its longer because she went for hiatus to publish the tonkoubon version of Viewfinder and catching up to her other work that she ditched just for the sake of this series. She also just recently lost her father so yeah

A tankoubon (or tankobon) is just a bound volume of a number of manga chapters - it usually gets a little more cleaned up, some extra little bits added and gets published looking more like a book (printed on better paper than magazine paper too). Also-sensei was not just dealing with her fathers' death (her biggest supporter) but I believe she had her own health issues - although I am not sure on that.
This is an amazing story...it's all about the ups & downs of being in highschool...so many great emotions u can feel... One of the best sports shoujo manga I've ever read...

Reading this psychologically twisted story makes u wonder how bad the world really is...such sad and wonderful story...we have our own demons inside...at least Chris found happiness at the end with Doctor Sensei...and such genuine goodness from Sensei is what he needs...
