(DROPPED) If I could rate this piece of work a 0/5 stars, I definitely would. I honestly had a sliver of hope for this manhwa because of all the middle eastern clothing I saw in the manhwa. However, the author diminished all hope that I could even have for this work. The manhwa is clearly based on both Arab and Ottoman culture, but it clearly lacks basic understanding of both those cultures. I don’t think the creator being Korean is an excuse to portray such harmful stereotypes and misrepresent the two cultures; much more research should’ve been done. The creator’s ignorance is blatantly obvious in the FL’s attitude and slight islamphobia. The fact the creator boils down Islam customs as “woman having to hide their faces to avoid seducing men,” is genuinely disgusting. Also, boiling down every other ethnic woman to be “dumb” and desiring to be the “emperor’s toy” while putting the WHITE fl on a pedestal with the label “only smart one,” is genuinely racist in so many ways.To add onto the issues of this mess, the creator clearly plays into the stereotypical “Cruel Barbaric Tanned Savage” ML and “Fair skinned Pretty” FL who learns how to quote on quote CHANGE him. The author has the ML try to kill the FL, throw her into prison, and has him sexually harass her. I’m genuinely tired of all darker skinned and racially ambiguous MLs being portrayed as savage beasts. This further enforces harmful generalizations and stereotypes of these groups who already deal with stigmatization in day to day life. Not to mention, the ML isn’t even tan like that. In reality, he’s very pale… Finally, the writing of this manhwa is genuinely bad. It’s not unique nor creative. The characters all lack substance and are genuinely boring, which will hinder any possible character development they could’ve had. PLUS THE FL IS CORNY AFFFF!!!! This whole manhwa was a waste of my time.

Genuinely one of the worst “time travel” manhwas I’ve ever read. I dropped this series at chapter 41. I don’t even know where to begin with the amount of issues that this manhwa carries. The most outrageous crime of this manhwa would have to be the incest. The fact that the ML turned out to be her adopted older brother, disgusts me to my core. I’m even more disgusted that the two main “male leads” were 2 of her adopted brothers. For those who argue that it’s okay because they’re “not blood related” are actually INSANE. These characters acknowledged the FL as their sister and for heaven’s sake every other character outside their household knew them as FAMILY. Not to mention, the FL looks EXACTLY like their deceased younger sister (aka the whole reason why FL was adopted). Hence, makes things EVEN WEIRDER and possibly indicates emotional incest with the deceased BLOOD SISTER. There were so many other potential male leads that could have been chosen. Also, I find it weird that the FL fell in “love” with her emotional abuser. I’m so disappointed that the author couldn’t play into the “found family” trope with the FL traveling back in time. Justice for mister blue hair, he would have made a way better ML. Adding onto the horrible incest, this manhwa has horrible pacing. It had a decent start and slowly raveled into a rushed mess. Hence, ruining all the characters personalities and such. The plot was already so cliché and they rushed it so bad for it to become an infamously known manhwa for all the wrong reasons.
