I'm an American and I wouldn't be offended. It's a well-known fact that the US has one of the highest obesity rates in the world. Just like it's a known fact that South Korea has the highest per capita for cosmetic surgery. ㄟ(ツ)ㄏ

Plastic surgery in South Korea is practically cultural. I don't understand why you are offended. No, not everyone gets plastic surgery, but it's a fact that South Korea is a leader is plastic surgery and that it's incredibly common (maybe not full face, but eyelid surgery stop counts).
It's the same as would be saying “This is so Japanese with the organized crime” (yes, yakuza is a prominent thing) or “This is so British with the nanny” (Nannies are more common in the UK.)

This story is actually good! The art is amazing and the plot is very well put together. You have to be an open minded person to read this story. You have to understand that there is more to the story than the first 2 chapters. The development to the ending is just perfect.
This is a manga, no one is harm and yes, something like this happens in real life too I don't know about the ending but I have to say this would be one of my favorite manga out there because of the real plot.

Still in the flashback time, they are in like an 8th or 9th grade. It said the big kidnapping (where Jian was gone for years) happened the 2nd day of high school. So its still before that. Lol sorry went abit overboard for a simple question.

I need to update it but that's where we are at. The story is called nineteen days. So each day that is shown in the comic is a countdown of the 19 Days. My guess is that the 19th Day is the day Jian Yi disappears from Xixi's life until he reappears 3-4 years later when Xixi is in college.
What about the latest chapter now is it in the present ?
Nope. Still in the past but I think we are on Day 15 or something like that so we are getting close to the end of the flashback.
We will know it is present day by them not being in school anymore and Jian Yi is living with Xixi and their relationship is rocky as hell.

It's is a bit difficult to read in the beginning because of how it feels like it's just pictures with no context until like chapter 40 something.
The story only really starts on chapter 50 and we are already in flashback mode and trying to work out way back to the present time and why that reunion was so disastrous and why their relationship is so frayed.
And it's going to HURT.
