They're not skipping it, there's still plenty of stuff that needs to happen before that Class S gate opens. They're merely showing Liu Zhigeng doing what they talk about him doing later in the story, taking care of the ants that escaped and that are headed for China. It's easier to show something happening in the moment than to reference back to it later on with no context. Especially in comic form when we don't get ALL the dialogue that happens in the LN. This way we already kind of know there's another Hunter of such power out there before he's properly introduced (which will be a while).

Not anymore romance as it was recategorized as drama in one webtoon app..seems like the author didnt really foresee it going to this direction at the start but that is how the story is now... lets just expect it to be dragging on the romance for a while... also id just be here imagining what daddy hirahara would look like if he modeled xD
