I just read the Novel ( didn't have the guts to finish it. YET). The top (Ye LingHan) is one irredeemable piece of fuk, but we already knew that BUT oh boi does the novel go fucking hard, I had to literally just take a break from reading because of how much Ye LingHan resembles a dumpster fire for what he did.I am at the point in the story where our MC (Ji Ran) does some face slapping but fuk damn it it's not enough. Ji Ran deserves better AND THE FACT THAT YE DOGHAN IS STILL THE END GAME MALE LEAD?
LIKE WTF. BIG EW. Just because he wallowed in shame and guilt for a few years makes all that he did okay? and every time boi Ji Ran falters into thinking "hey maybe he isn't that bad and he actually likes me?" MY RAGE KENT TAKE IT. BITCH HE CRAZY STFU AND LEAVE but of course , it ain't that EZ. Nothing is for these godforsaken characters
(the story thus far is leading towards his cheap 'redemption arc' but I ain't buying it. In my humble opinion he can go die, apart from the revenge/face slapping bit, which we know is already expected in this type of story, was hoping for the story to go "Ji Ran doesn't fall for anyone in the end " or "Falls for a bettteeerr, normal, love interest" BUT IT'S LOOKIN'PRETTY BLEAK OUT HERE. Part of the reason I stopped reading is because I really don't want to see the MC end up with the human trash UGHHHHUHH
