I don't like how her family thought that everything between them and FL are just misunderstandings. The og Ruby died,she was bullied, neglected, abandoned and abused. Were those "misunderstandings" for them? Really? The eldest brother defended the bish but he did not notice how his real sister live for all these years? Busy? Yet he has time to blame his real sister just because of that bish' whim? One thing that I don't like is that how these narcissist and toxic characters get redemption. They just make believe and act as if all of these abuse,neglect, abandonment and bullying are the fault of a misunderstanding. The sudden change of heart and attentions are so cringe and creepy. Can't they just continue to be like that even after knowing the truth? Stay faraway like you always did, it's not concerning at all
Mm see but while the father was directly responsible as he's her dad. Her second brother isn't really to blame. She even said in her memories whenever he was home he was always kind to her and they hung out well. As for the oldest brother he's under the impression that he's a good person but she's right he never really cared about her. All the stuff she was saying her dad felt towards her, more than likely is reflective of the abusive way her eldest brother talks. Yelling without hearing both sides, screaming at people out of there sleep and demanding apologies whenever she gets hurt is insane. He thinks he's stern but he's just abusive. I don't know if you read this from the beginning,but the og Ruby was bullied, neglected, abandoned and abused. Neglecting is also a from of abused,her father did not even bat an eye oh his daughter's well being. He's a drunkard who still mourn of his wife's passing. The second brother, though he's good on this life but he did not care of his sister in all those years, including her previous lives. So is the eldest brother who loves to defend the bish.
The thing is,Rubi is all alone in those lives. She felt alone, neglected and abandoned by her family while those who aren't real family received love the most. Can you imagine her pain? And worst,those who are not real family are the one who abuse and bully her. Even the servants who supposed to care of her are belittling and bullying her.

Ruby said herself that Victor was always busy and gone being a knight that's why he wasn't around. She said he was always kind to her and checked up on her. I understand wanting to put the blame on everyone but the fact of the matter is Ruby had plenty of chances to stand up for herself, she was just too scared. closed mouths don't get fed, you an never know who is willing to help if you never ask. Her dad would have continued being a useless lifeless piece of shit until Volga inevitably poisons his wine or something and he dies. the only reason he has changed is because his daughter Ruby forced him too. The other Ruby could have done this as well, but she would have been defeated at the door by the butler.
The majority of the active abuse is Volga and the twins, as well as her oldest brother. Victor was blissfully unaware of her situ and Dad is/was being actively encouraged to be a hermit by Volga I'm sure. Not that that matters he gets no excuses

WHY it's Ruby's fault when she is the victim? You said she had plenty of chances to stand up for herself. How can an abused, neglected, abandoned and bullied can stand up for herself? Volga is abusing her under her father's nose. In the same house where her brothers live. She's only 15 years old now,so can you imagine what was her age when the abuse starts? Og Ruby was pushed in a corner, helpless and hopeless. The current Ruby is a modern woman who is empowered. Their difference is that Og Ruby was bound by etiquette on that era and she was threatened by Volga and her children,she also cares for her family even though they neglect and forget her existence. While the current Ruby is fierce and empowered and never cares for her family. Ofc, the soul is not the real Ruby.
Well I think we cam agree to disagree. I wasn't saying it was OG Ruby's fault I was saying that had she not been so scared she would have been able to get out of the situation sooner. Just by forcing herself into her father's office. I'm not saying that was something she was capable of doing I'm just saying that if she had done it, she would have received help. This is not to make less of her situation my whole point is that these characters are not acting any differently then they were in the beginning. Ruby herself said that Victor checks up on her when he is home. That's not a contradiction, he is mostly gone as a Knight but according to Ruby when he is home they have a good relationship. He didn't know she was being abused because she didn't tell him. She confined in her oldest brother and he just gaslit her. Truthfully we have no clue how he would have reacted if she opened up to him. Very likely he could have reacted poorly but who knows?
Also when I said it is better to check both sides I was not talking about Victor, he already took her side. I was talking about her oldest brother who one-sidedly came to bash her. Holding Victor responsible for everyone else's actions because he has to work is not fair.

I'm still not satisfied of the turn of events. Don't get me wrong,I love them when they were kids,when ml did not abandon FL. Ml is lousy. I will miss Daisy and Orsen being together. Surely ml will cling to Daisy like a leech.
The thing is,ml only showed when FL becomes well off. In all those years he did not make a move to reach out to her,instead he brought a girl that looks like daisy to please himself. Well, I'm glad that the age gap is not that big. It reminds me of Judy Abbott,daddy long legs story but this one includes magic. Well,there are some differences like Judy hides her origin while Veronica openly told that she's from the orphanage. Jervis is Judy's friend's uncle while it still wasn't told who among veronica's friends is related to Gideon. Gideon is till a mystery,it wasn't still told what is his title,but he is a captain or commander of knights.
