I don't think it's as simple as that. I mean, think about it, this even traumatized her sm that she can't stand the sight of spiders despite being pretty fearless otherwise, and clearly the "spider" she saw was something much more sinister (maybe a corpse?). And the worst part is that she doesnt even know what exactly happened in this important memory. Trust me, it isn't easy to just ignore what happened in the past and move on forward (perhaps she'll develop into someone who will let go of the pas and just live in the present as the manhwa progresses tho) bc you'd feel like you literally are missing a part of yourself. Ofc i'm not saying that what you're saying is wrong (bc it really isn't), i'm just saying that it's easier to tell others to forget their past than to actually do it yourself

Ok well look at it in her perspective, in a situation where your working your ass off sacrificing your own future for a man who you know for a fact will die bc there's no cure or solution, yeaaa i cant blame her. The issue isnt paying the bills, its the fact shes spending her own hard goddamn money for whats practically a black hole with no end in sight. U can call her insensitive but the fact she managed to try to cover those bills and put her own happiness at risk for taking up loans is already evidence that she at least cared for him. We dont even know if shes has siblings and if she doesnt, more kudos to her for doing this alone.

I understand it all what u have said.Now think,if it's sooyoung is having a disease and her father would have said the same thing then how would she feel? Let me tell u she would feel like what kind of father is he, saying such things to her own daughter when she is suffering so much.And let me tell u the thing she said to her father " just die already" if he were to hear that he won't even complain because the parents are like that first they sacrifice their youth to pay for their children school , college fees ,providing them the best they can, they love their children unconditionally and in return what they get ,that when their time comes and they need a helping hand from their children they turn their backs, or even if they are doing something considering them as responsibility basically u can say " burden'.Its the bitter truth of our society which makes my heart aches so much.

Sorry for butt in but I agree with you and can't say it better than you. Ms. Doh story feels really real, too bad ppl here can't relate until they are in similar situation like hers. Maybe just maybe in the earlier phase when her father started getting ill, she still had hope and never told her father to die, but being in situation like hers ppl worn out, she worn out, we only got the ending of her father's story so I get ppl judge her as cruel person but we never get the earlier story.

This is not a helping hand, he is dying and theres no cure in sight. Your argument would be true except its not because if you are a person who willingly made A LIVING ENTITY into existence, it is your responsibility to take action for what you've done and this involves spending your life to ensure your their happiness. If your not willing to do that, you shouldn't be a parent because clearly your not taking crap seriously enough. With that argument in mind, in a situation like this where you, the parent, are so clinically ill that there is NO SOLUTION (u dont seem to realize this for some reason), the best thing to do is let the man die because not only is it better for him who is in pain and literally forced to lay their live a captive prisoner in his own body but its not just any "burden", its one that is harming your child and family. Your heart can ache all it wants but she did nothing wrong in saying she hoped he die because at least we see that she has TRIED to help him by paying for the medical expenses. My god, this should never happen to anyones family but in this situation, how the hell do you have the audacity to try to compare the impact that the living members must face and overcome to that far the dying one who literally escape from all this "burden" as you'd call it through death?

Oh i also forgot to address this in your original statement as to how she can say "just die" so easily to her father. It wasn't easy, if you cant tell from the condition the hospital room's in or how she described herself, this clearly a long term thing and she clearly had to bottle up her emotions to the point she resented him for making her suffer like this. What sane daughter do you believe would like to see their own parent in such a sad state? ummm none.
