I know people would disagree on this but pls be respectful when replying at least. This is just my opinion as I am kept wondering.
Why is everyone so mad about Shahid like dude was worse than Caesar or that Russian blue eyed dude?
Shahid had multiple partners in bed and doing drugs for years PRIOR TO DATING YESING as a way to cope with trauma. Kiyan was shaken during his first time killing someone. Imagine Shahid, who was prob not even a proper adult yet, be forced to kill over and over again, with no proper family to console him after. We dont know the extent of killing he had to do to protect the people he loved, but he is obv broken inside. Despite that, he tried to live a normal life, still being gentle and never ruthless to people close to him. He never turned into a mindless killer or a fucked up hateful maniac. He turned to sex and drugs, but never against the people he loved.
In addition, even though he had liked yesing then, Shahid never used his authority or past to get his way with the former even though he could have. He never trauma dumped yesing. Instead, he turned to other people for an escape (which is normal irl. People do have casual sex w/ others before being with someone). Plus, he thought yesing liked kenny. Despite all that, Shahid never trashtalked kenny so yesing would fall for him instead. Dude just annoyed the hell out of his crush and kept a safe distance.
The only time that was too unforgivable was when Shahid was too high on drugs that he couldn't recognize yesing and did things to him thinking it was a normal bed attendant that he usually was with whenever he was not in a lucid situation. Had he been a little bit sober and recognized yesing, he would have definitely stopped. There's fault there, but no intent to do any harm.
When Shahid confessed to yesing and they became a thing, he never even cheated. There was never even a hint of desire to cheat. He was attentive and did all he could to gain yesing's trust. Yesing is distrustful as he thought he could never satisfy Shahid due all the bed partners the latter had, and also the fact that he prob haven't realized or knew yet just how much deeper Shahid's feelings are for him.
Multiple chapters in and we could see just how strict and serious Shahid gets when it comes to people he truly care about. Yes, he'd joke around, but he is always always genuine when the situation so warrants. Dude would shake at the mere thought of Kenny dying, and that's just his homie. He'd probably go berserk if he actually saw someone hurting yesing.
As to him being rough during sex... Bruh other semes are trashier than him, not even bothering cleaning their partners up and all, yet you never even direct that much hate. There are a lot of "green flag" semes that does the same thing Shahid does (like not stopping when the uke says so, or going for another round when uke is too tired). That doesnt make it right ofc, but the level of hate is just double standards. Shahid should learn to be gentle and mindful, but so does 90% of semes out there.
As for him being jealous, again aint that the normal seme troupe? Again, that doesnt make it right, but let's not pretend as if every character dont get jealous as he does. Shahid is vocal about it because he's a yapper. Plus, Kiyan confessed to Yesing. Would you guys be okay with your partners being too close to people who confessed to them? It isnt because he doesnt trust yesing, but because he doesnt trust that kiyan wouldnt take advantage of the situation to get all close or maybe touchy. That's a reasonable thought. Note, Shahid never shunned Kiyan except when it comes to Yesing. Even then, he wasnt hateful, just jealous.
Shahid is def not a total green forest, but everyone treats him like he's the most toxic seme they ever saw and just simply forgetting and ignoring his trauma, how he copes with it, how he is still gentle to others when necessary, and the fact that there was never him and yesing in the past NOR did yesing ever showed he liked Shahid to even warrant being faithful. He never did mind games on Yesing to get his way, nor did he use pity, trauma dump, guilt tripping or gaslighting to get sex or a confession. Yeah, he had multiple casual partners FOR A REASON, but he never had any serious relationship whom he just discarded like trash. Not everyone saves themselves up for just one person. People have casual sex. That aint wrong unless you've established or told someone you'll be devoted to them and all.
I dont get how anyone would go past all that details about Shahid's character and treat him like a lost case of toxic seme.
