I suck at giving advice to people but I suggest you not give up on her tell her how you feel don't be afraid. Tell her how much you care about her. When I was depressed all of my friends deserted me and I ended up getting worse. Thankfully my cousin told me that I didn't need them in my life if they made me feel bad all the time.
