The author is doing an excellent job at giving you a sense of dread. Literally every chapter makes you feel like something really bad is about to happen.
OMG! You're so right! After every chapter I feel excited for the next one but then I also have this dread that the next chapter would be where the angst would start.
YES! Every time I read this part I get this feeling, even when something "good" is happening you still feel that something is about to happen
